Well, if I were to take the title of the thread literally, and read waaaay too much into the words ... it would suggest that an M production model will be "launched", and that newly launched M car will also "feature" OLED technology. Meaning it is a brand new M model. Not an LCI or upgrade of an existing already produced M model.

Call me crazy ... but the fact that Mark posted this on 2 addicts may have something to do with that as well.

My money is on the M2.

Agreed, if we want to analyze the words technically, it points to the M2.

M4 GTS would be a "new" model

Money on M2 getting OLED, not a safe bet...

The i8 has them as will the next 7er , something else in 2016 and an additional M4. They will be more wide spread when the new 5er arrives in 2016.

Besides, F2x chassis will be 5+ years old when OLED on a BMW debuts. They usually don't feature cutting-edge technology on older chassis cars.

if it is soon, it will be for the 7 series. BMW usually trickles down the tech from the most expensive cars.

My money would be on an M4 LCI and/or GTS before an M2. As for non-M cars, I'd expect it on the G11 first.

Hey BMW, how bout fix every injector issue, hpfp issue, trim peeling issue, or even put the "BMW" feel back into all your cars before acting like Audi and trying to make nice looking headlights without worrying about the rest of the important details first!

Great post!

Well put. That said, innovation can continue in parallel with keeping a high quality bar. Both do not seem like mutually exclusive ideas.

Agreed, but we won't see that within the next 18 months. We haven't seen a mule of the non-M Z5, let alone the M variant (which always lags behind by another 12-18 months).

Unlikely that the M2 due for release this year will feature laser lights.

See this recent post of Scott26: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showp...8&postcount=15

Ohhhh so it looks like they really are trying to keep the M2's price point on the lower side. Good news for me.
