Yes. I am smart enough to turn on the lights when they will make a difference, and if I am going to run lights, I want ALL the lights on.

So considering how much they substantially improve the aesthetics, paying $600 at most over the lifetime of ownership is not so bad. While I agree that they are overpriced at 1200 and will take it a step further and suggest that they are standard equipment. That being said it really does make a difference in safety, looks, and resale.
You are still losing $600. Whether it is a depreciating asset or not is irrelevant. Getting $600 for something you paid $1200 for is not a good deal. And it is $600 plus whatever repair and maintenance costs there are. Priced xenon bulbs vs. halogens lately? Never mind if any of the leveling and turning bits get out of sorts. I buy my cars and keep them a LONG time, so this is very important to me. If you just lease and re-lease, then not a concern.

As far as looks? Seriously? They are headlights and look like headlights either way. I find the strobe effect that Xenons seem to have in rain and snow to be a huge distraction as well. No sale to me, if you like them, spend the money.
