I got the same problem when I was on a twisty mountain road. High speeds and hit the rev limit a couple of times on 3rd gear. The error freaked me out. I pulled to the side and let the car sit and switched it off. Tried switching it back on after 2 minutes and got a very weird sound after crank like two metal parts rubbing each other. Switched it off and let the car sit longer before switching back on to no issues. The fault vanished. Fuel was 3/4th full. My engine oil low error came up later that day after may be 6 hours of driving. Topped up to 3/4th quart and measured to have level ok. Took it to the service center a couple of days later and they found no faults.

rev limit? low engine oil? continuous spirited driving for 2 days before that? bad fuel? No idea!
