Proudly open your doors again

75% of the door-panel surface consists of a rather hard and somewhat shiny plastic. To compensate for this appearance, we have upholstered it with a highly bendable, 1.3-mm- thin synthetic strip with the original Alcantara and added it to the existing delivery programme. The premium metamorphosis that this subtle Alcantara strip has caused is almost unimaginable!

I really liked seeing your full product line, thanks. Very subtle and classy!

When my (Estoril Blue) M240i arrives, I'll definitely revisit your site.

I see the OP has been appropriately (and proudly) banned already. Sehr gut.

Now, mods: Please delete the thread? Danke!

Newbie here. No vendor relationship, or something worse?

Selling something in a topical forum is a TOS violation. Commercial posts like this one is an even worse TOS violation. There are commercial subforums for both scenarios on 2Addicts.

I do love a good premium metamorphosis from time to time.

I didn't even realize I should be ashamed of opening my door. This thread has been an eye-opener for me!

So I'm not the only one feeling irked at the door-shameing? Personally I think it makes my door look fat.....

I didn't realize door judgment/shaming was a thing. I feel very self conscience about my doors now.

Purely from a practical standpoint I'd want the bottom of my door to be as tough and easy to clean as possible - definitely not alcantara. Every time I take my father anywhere he always scrapes his foot on that exact spot, for example.

If we lose our pride in our door trim panels as delivered, then the alcanterrorists win...

I used to think the Miata (forum) crowd was the most ruthless, but this thread has convincingly changed my mind! Hahaha...

If we can't out-snark the Miata crowd we've got problems - but I guess having everybody on earth tell you that you drive a 'girl's car' has to crank you up a bit. Then again, I've learned to shrug off driving a 'd-bag car', so they probably adjust.

I've yet to be "called" one, but I definitely feel the "you're a d'bag" eyes when I try to have an ounce of fun, or even make a simple pass on a single lane highway

It's hard to hear them call you a d-bag over the dinan exhaust/mid-pipe, so, I'm not entirely sure how people feel about my car or driving.

True, the kittyless dp and MPE really drone out the complaints

The alcantara really brings out how shitty the standard door panel materials are in those pictures.
