So I started to notice this weird sound when I'm stopping my car. It sounds like an electric motor or actuator turning on when The car is just about to stop. The sound comes from the back of the car. I went to the dealer yesterday and the shop foreman drove my car with me and heard it, he said he has absolutely no clue. He wants to do some research and drive some of the other m235s the have on the lot. I'm dropping it off next week.

Has anyone heard this noise before?

I hear it quite often in my car too (6MT). I figured its got something to do with the EfficientDynamics (the blue part at the end of your MPG meter below your tach)

I get that sound, but it's only when the car has been sitting for a while, and I touch or open the door for the first time. I thought it was just some systems getting reactivated, preparing for when I drive the car.

I hear a humming/buzzing boise on occasion while sitting at a light... Try shutting your climate control off completely and see if it goes away.. Worked 4 me.. Good luck

I've noticed this also. Mine makes noise under the rear seats so I assume its the fuel pump.
