Need to brag a little.....

My son owns a shop in the NW burbs of Chicago that specializes in Euro cars. He just had a customer run 10.9 @ 133 with only bolt-ons!!!! (335xi N54) The car is docile till you get into the throttle. Customer claims it"s the first bolt-on ever into the 10s. Just wanted to brag a bit and this forum was the most relevant one for me to post on. Good PR for a shop that's only 2 years old. I'm sure there's rules here about mentioning the shop's name, so I won't.

Lol, how's a F22 forum most relevant when there's one for the E9X cars..?

Need more info on the mods and a timeslip would be nice. Congrats to him, though. I wish I had a 10 sec car.

I meant " most relevant" for me of the forums I'm on (Mercedes, Corvette, Indian, Can-am, BMW, etc.)

Will post mods after I talk to my son. All I know is that nothing internal was touched.

I think Terry Burger would have to contest that. As would many others who have been running in the 10's with N54's since circa 2008. Still a properly fast car, but the customer is talking out his ass.

Are those cars bolt-ons only? If so, then my info might be questionable. ( this car also has a full interior)

10 seconds is extremely fast for a car w/ just bolt ons.

Looks like I'm participating in the hijacking of my own thread.
Multi-stage buffing with ceramic coating, lowering springs, clear bra, ceramic 35% tint, minor carbon hydrodipping, the new Michelin PS4s in place of Contis, emblems blacked out, secondary cat delete and a solid tune. There's probably more that I don't recall. It's odd to get it all done at once as I usually do a little at a time myself. His shop does a lot of MBZ and BMW, so this is the way to go.

I believe you, lol, I just want to see one in the "wild" at least from a local forum member would be nice. I'll probably never run into one on the road, where I live..

I've actually never seen one on the road, either. I've test driven a few at dealers, but TN has a low percentage of higher end cars. That makes it easier to get personal plates here......I have AMG GTS for mine.

I de-badge our cars, so that plate also serves the purpose of "badging" without the clutter of the OEM letters on rear deck.
