I have always found with Sirius/XM that holding out will yield a lower price.
So wait a while and let them come back with a better offer.
As for the 'lost' three months of service, it is not worth your time to go after it, at least it would not be worth my time.

I listen to HD radio mostly, so I checked to see if my XM still worked, and it does! 15+ months. I wonder how long before they turn it off.

To answer your original question, I also picked up my car at the Welt last October and my Sirius subscription ends this October. So even though you can't actually use the free Sirius service while you are in Europe and while you are waiting for stateside delivery, your one year free trial starts upon delivery of the car in Germany. It doesn't bother me since I never listen to it, but I agree that it does seem like we are getting shortchanged several months.
