I have a much harder time engaging consistently in comfort. It feels like the CDV is disabled in sport modes.
Also, I'm sure it's placebo but it also feels the car holds boost for a split second in sport as well. |

In terms of shifting, the only thing I've notice is that since the throttle isn't as responsive I'm usually not giving it enough blip when I down shift. I also notice that there isn't as much acceleration on upshift, naturally. Then I press the sport button twice and I'm all good.

Owned the car for 6 months and have owned and competitively raced manuals for 20 years LOL. My old 2012 WRX was easier to drive smoothly. During hard driving though, it all comes together for the M235. I've been driving around in DSC off mode and it's the best for me.

With all the discussion on sport/comfort mode in MT, I did a test today while in stop-and-go traffic, as I had nothing else to do.
I set up the sport mode for chassis only, so the drivetrain should behave the same. Then notice something interesting. In comfort mode I feel more "rubberband" effect when the engine drops down to idle, while it's barely noticeable in sport mode. Also when disengaging the clutch in 1st gear at higher rpm, I will often feel a "thunk" in comfort mode. Not so much in sport. Not sure what's causing the difference because that sort of stuff is more associated with the drivetrain, which I disabled in sport mode. |

Car lurks back and forth, like being pulled by a rubberband. I'm actually used to it after driving an E46 for 15 yrs. The lack of it surprised me a bit. |
