461M or 405M Wheels

I ordered my M235i with Ferric Grey 461M wheels with Michelin PSS non-runflat tires with the intention of purchasing a set of 405M wheels for the summer and using those rims for winter. I've since purchase the winter tires and have been using the all winter.

Now that spring is here and it's time for the summer tires again. But, the 461M wheels look much better in person that I thought and the 405M wheels come with Pirelli P Zero Run-flat Tires.

I enjoy spirited driving but 'm not a crazy driver and the car will never be tracked. Am I really going to notice much of a difference between the Michelin non-run-flat tires and the Pirelli run-flat tires?

This choice is more for aesthetics. What do you guys think? Keep the 18" 461M wheels or get the 19" 405M wheels?

405M looks nicer and you don't see many 2series with them

I'd say the 461s have a more sporting look, but the 405s look more elegant.

Canada has an option of the 461's but not the US.

Trying to find a set myself...

These are the ferric grey 461m's. I had an order for them back in the fall/winter time frame but they were back-ordered at the time so I canceled. I never heard anything about them not being available as the dealer checked availability for me and then added the part numbers in their system.

The 19" 405M wheels has my vote. Compliments the M235i well.

I would have gladly paid extra to sub these wheels, although in person the 436m wheels don't look too bad and brake dust doesn't seem to show as much. That said, I'm looking for a set of 461m for winter.
I had 162's on my E90 335i and when they were clean, the bright look
really made the car shine.

I must be the weird one. I really like, and prefer the 461s! I love them on my 228.

I have the 405s on mine and they look fantastic against the black. Also, I think the 19" fill out the wheel arches a little better than the 18".
The only downside is the run-flats. They're ok, nothing special.
