In Europe, no one would blink an eye. Only in America do people feel the need to have a Dodge Ram 6500 to tow a pop up camper.

I saw a guy in a 60's GTO launching a 30' Scarab one time. Almost 30 years later, I am still befuddled by that sight. How can you have enough money to own those things and yet be so stupid? Or did he upgrade the GTO drivetrain with truck parts to make it feasible and have the baddest looking tow vehicle on the face of the planet? These are the thoughts that keep me up at night.

Weekend car. Only used to drive back and forth to the beach house. Well maintained. Engine still pulls strong.

Its a 21' Four Winns on a dual axle boat trailer from Four Winns, it has brakes on both axles. I know mine does.

Did anyone actually look up the tow rating for the E60 M5. I think it was 4600 lbs in Europe

When they lose a wheel, it gets real exciting, and this guy is probably ramming along at 75+ when not in traffic.
Ah, another clueless person

Is that your boat? It looks bigger than 21' to me. I have a 20' four winns and that looks A LOT bigger. Yes, four winns dual axle trailers have surge brakes on each axle.

The Horizon 210 in the original post is a much lighter baseline model. If tow rating on the M5 is 4500 that boat is well within it.

I'm not insulting YOUR fabulously expensive and well-kept boat trailer, just commenting on the run-of-the-mill versions I see all the time. You can add all those U-Hauls with the prominent 'not to be used over 50mph' stickers, and the crapped out 'used to be a pickup bed' trailers. This one is a little dated, but it was a local story that was a bit closer to home:

No personal offense taken, but from what I can see on the boat forums, a lot of owners are fastidious about trailer maintenance when they tow. Uhaul, I have no idea how their stuff is maintained.

Midland eh? Not a bad place to dock a boat!

The marina here in Collingwood is starting to fill up again slowly

i have to agree with P1et... i find it funny with the comment about needing a dodge and you have one in the profile pic.
