Coming out of the shadows...

I've been lurking on the forums for months, researching, searching, learning and truly enjoying seeing what you've all done with your cars. Long story short ... I pulled the trigger and picked up a new 2016 M235i XDrive. I absolutely love this car! I love it even more now that I've "made it mine". I had to change some things right out of the gates and get some modding out of the way, to get it where it needed to be.

So far, I've added the front lip splitter... M Performance Exhaust ( installed it myself). JB4 stage 2 Tuner. VMR V710 wheels ( which made the car finally look as aggressive as it performs) M Front Grills with painted slats, and last but not least... picked up a little "Stubby" antenna.
Looking forward to years of spirited driving.

Your convertible looks great I know I'm still enjoying mine after a year.

We can only buy a 220i in New Zealand and find its power is enough for our roads plus the cops takes the car and driver license for 28 days if we get court doing over 25mph of any posted speed limit.

The original antenna was too long and didn't look right. The shorter one gave it a cleaner, simpler, and sportier look...IMO

Oh, I see
I didn't realize the convertibles have an antenna. My coupe does not.
In that case, the short antenna does make sense.

are those 19" wheels or 18s? Love them, I need to get them. And what does VMW call that color? Grey? Silver?

Are your back tires 255? I ask because they look nice and flush. I have 18" VMR 710's but my back tires are 245. That fit but are slightly stretched and poke out some. I don't mind it, but will probably get 255 for the back next time.

Great looking car. I may go with those same VMR wheels and the M front grills with the painted slats for my 235xi coupe!
