Help: Battery Tube Thingy

I wonder if somebody can help.

While adding Dynamat to the trunk area I accidentally pulled out a grey tube going to the battery. Can someone please tell me what this tube is and where it is supposed to plug into?

Many thanks.Name: BatteryTube.jpg

My guess is it's a vent tube for the battery - lead acid or what ever concoction they use releases gases and since trunk is not vented like a front engine compartment they add the vent tube.
Near by you should see a hole the tube fits into, probably on the floor of the trunk somewhere.

Thanks, Scott.

If anyone can snap a picture of where the tube goes, I'd be grateful. Didn't see anything obvious. I might have Dynamatted over it!

For the record, for those who make the same mistake I did, the grey tube attaches to a spot on the floor, as Scott says. You can see the location in Beartato's picture.

But note that the hose attaches to a black ridged plastic pipe rather than a hole. It's easy to miss because the surrounding area is tight and dark. It's also hard to get to. My hand wouldn't fit. I had to use needle nose pliers to get the tube onto the pipe.
