228i x tire fit

I have a 2015 228i x drive and wanted to put a set of 225 45 18 tires on it with out doing any upgrades . Would the front tires rub ? Does anyone run this size/set up ? Any issues ?
Thanks

We have that size tire on the '15 228i with no issues. The wheel offset will make a difference. We're using BMW F30 style 397 wheels 8JX18 ET:34.

The tire should fit fine but the sidewall is going to be taller than the factory 225/40-18. Your speedometer will read slower than your actual speed. The oem 225/40 has a 25.1” diameter vs. the 225/45’s 25.9” diameter so your speedometer will be off by 3.2% so when your speedometer is reading 60 mph, your actual speed is 62.1 mph. This diameter error will be combined with your existing speedometer error so maybe it’s 5% or so combined. However, you should be fine with a 5% or so speedometer error. Just remember to account for the 5% error when on the highway.
