I'm pretty much convinced that Akrapovič is eager to get their hands on the M2 for taking it to the next level, sound-wise. No need for Active Sound Design.

Agree with you on this setup appearing to be softer than in the others I have seen , and I'm particularly speaking of the rear setup..

Fine tuning of the 1m suspension set up went on until just a few months before production, so I'm sure many variations/iterations will occur yet.

Absolutely you should ...

While not of huge importance to me, lighting could also be different...

Certainly an exclusive color is a common offering from BMW on a CSL or even completion model.

For me, aero, lighter/wider wheels, cf roof, likely a slightly more radical tune or possible displacement/compression bump, are already enough to wait.

Yes it does...but I also have not had the privilege of tackling the Ring with my F80. I am sure it would sound pretty good as well.
