I didn't consider the 1M quasi in that sense, and they seem to be following a similar but "better" formula with the M2. The new car has gotten far more R&D than the 1M did, so it should be an improvement from a performance standpoint no matter what.

The Seat time and extra time with the Pirate Rum, should serve us justice without issue.

There were several things that didn't happen on the 1M because they ran out of time, that will happen this time around, and that's the good news.

M-DCT they ran out of time and had little Data-Logging compared to the Manual car.

I disagree- I'd rather they make both. M235i scratches the itch for most potential M-car buyers and allows BMW to make the M2 much harsher/more expensive without giving up sales to the S3, CLA, etc.

Agreed - I mean I get the whole leading up to a big reveal and all too, but there's got to be enough of a carrot to make it worth waiting.
