They're going between Puerto Rico and Punta Cana in the D.R. They've got their hammocks hung, shorts on, and binoculars out. Nobody's rushing this part of the trip.

The CYGNUS LEADER just passed the Dominican Republic and is now less than an inch away from the panama canal. It seems to be a little ahead of schedule and going quite fast (17.5 Knots)

Gatte--when our ship (Metis Leader) went through the two sets of locks on the Panama Canal, Inline wrote a program to continuously/autmatically capture shots every few seconds--later he posted the pics (slideshow) for all of us (so we didn't have to sit by our computers all Saturday waiting

It was so cool. (I think you can download a free program that does that, too.)

Yes, I saw the output of the program. I should ask Inline_Six to send me the program and I might be able to change the parameters to be able to capture our passing through the canal.

I'm gonnna PM him now.

I'm on this boat as well (fairly sure) assuming this is indeed voyage 62. Dropped my car in Paris on Feb 19th, taking delivery in Seattle. What a wait! I'm hoping for a delivery of April 20th but I'm not all that hopeful that will happen.

Do you have a date for delivery in CA? I'm curious if I can better estimate my delivery date.

No delivery date yet. I do not know how far your CA is situated from the port but this is what I think would happen with my car:
Arrival at Port Hueneme: April 9th
Release to VPC: April 10th (Confirmed with BMW ED Sales and they said that ED cars are given 1st priority)
Release from VPC: April 11 - April 16
Release to trucking: April 16
At Dealership: April 17 - April 18
Pickup: April 18

The above dates might look a little optimistic but I have no port installed accessories and the dealership is 20 minutes from the port so it could happen.

The CYGNUS LEADER is finally nearing the Gatun Locks of the Panama canal.
It's probably gonna dock for a while before going through it. Here are a couple of pics:

Program running (backup) ... should have images (both Gatun and Miraflores) within approx 12-15 hours from now.

I have the GIF sequencer program as well ... if I'm able to capture your Cygnus Leader images, I'll create 2 GIFs (1 - Gatun, and 2 - Miraflores) and put em up on Photobucket.

Again, run yours too.

It's anchored off the coast and there is a long line of other vessels that are in queue before we can go through.

She's in the locks right now. The Gatun locks high resolution camera is pointed at a walkway - might be broken. The low res camera should pick her up soon providing the Cosco Piraeus gets out of the way.
