Nope, per WW this morning, you're on the Tulane!
Perfect! Thanks for looking out for me...

They must be up to their armpits in BMWs in Zeebrugge this morning. Three car carriers recently departed from Bremerhaven in a line at the dock.

Clearly our cars were disappointed to be separated given they jumped off the line together. Hence, they rejoin in Bruegge.

Did you get a staggered wheel set/up or RFT squares?

RFT squares. Only thing I really dithered on with the car. Kept moving the choice like a dog with a favorite bone.

The car went into production on the day I was calling my CA (Alex Dytko) to kick it the other way one more time, so I couldn't change across. I'd lay odds he found a way push the production date up from its original slot just to get me to stop calling.

I ordered first with square RFT... And then changed last minute to PSS and staggered... Had quite a few blown tires with RFTs on my E90.

Then I also added CF mirror caps and steel pedals while I was at it...

I dumped using runflats as soon as they wore out on my E92. I was just dithering about being able to rotate the tires or not if I got them staggered (I rotate even though I know BMW recommends against it). I'd decided I'd go with their recommendation, not do rotations, and get the staggered setup, but my car slipped into production before i could change it.

This might be the edge I need in the Great Race, as you wait for either your dealership or the VPC to install them !

4/22 - Email and phone call to voicemail for our CA. The wife eventually called the main dealership number later in the afternoon to see if the car came in. She talked to the Sales Manager and found out that our CA was off for the day...and...that our car still had not arrived. Said he would research and call her back by COB...oops!...he didn't...

4/23 - 9AM phone call to the wife from our CA...wife says the update has the car in North Carolina????? Why 11 hours to NC only to spend 10 more hours driving to get to Cleveland??? Was the car going to SC for a Performance Center deliver as originally planned but seemed to be botched during build??? She dialed the CA back and handed the phone to me...spoke with our CA and now confirms the car is in Baltimore..still..even though release for transport on the 18th... Says they will check further and let us know...

We know it will eventually get here but BMW seems to suck you in and hype you up with the whole tracking process...creating obsessive compulsive monsters... Since the shipping/VPC is contracted out and the trucking is contracted out as well, there seems to be a black hole in the 3rd party handoff process that could use a little more effort to iron out. Seems like the chain of custody would be a little more regimented.

Still, PMTG is an exclusive transport provider for the NE and Midwest and I know the GPS track their fleet 24/7. With the contract provisions, it seems BMWUSA would have a Batphone to PMTG for status updates. It's 11AM and the wife and I still have time to grab the EZ-Pass, drive to Baltimore, get the car, drive back, and have the car in our driveway by midnight tonight.....
After many phone calls and gnashing of teeth...The dealer was able to make some things move. It was loaded on a truck yesterday in Baltimore. Our CA called at 9:30 this morning to tell us it was sitting in the lot...

The dealership was anxious to get it in because it seems this is the first manual transmission M235i they've received... Wonder how many miles it will have on it after the staff takes it for joy rides...

Our CA is trying to get the pedal covers and exhaust installed along with prep so we can pick it up this afternoon.... If so, 89 days from order to delivery...

Just saw this thread. My M235i (MW, 6MT, prem, hk audio, cold, tech) is on the Tulane! CA tells me that the expected date into BAL is 5/6, then a few days to Indianapolis.

Anyone with me on a scheduled production completion date of today (5/13)?

edit: called the tracking number and spoke with an operator--confirmed production completed today as scheduled and released to carrier. Now we wait to get assigned to a vessel.

Mine finished yesterday, same status. Mine should be coming in NJ/NY since I live in CT. Sounds like we may be on the same boat??

Yep, I would imagine. I think mine gets unloaded in Baltimore for the trip down to the DC area.

Mine got updated to 190 Dispatched ex(port?) BMW AG.

Rep on phone stated that the next step would be 191 Returned to BMW AG, but I think he might have only said that because it's next on the possible list? Why would the car go back to AG in every case?

Anyway, an updated timeline:

Order placed: 4/15/15
Production begins: 5/5/15
Production complete: 5/13/15
182 AG Load No. — Released to Carrier: 5/13/15
190 Dispatched ex(port?) BMW AG: 5/18/15 (today)

Mine still says it is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel

Edit: How do you find out the number? I just call the 1800 number and it tells me the status.

If you're at the port you're ahead of me i think (dispatched means on the way to the port i believe).

Quick Q for all you veterans, I've recently placed an order for an M-Sport... However, on the tracking website, it shows a picture of a Sport Line (not an M-Sport). Did they mess up & should I follow up with my salesman or is that just a default stock pic? It still says processing order so maybe I should get in touch with him asap. I need the M-Sport

My salesman made sure to point this out. Something between BMW NA and BMW AG causes this but it's likely not your order and eventually it will be correct. You can ask your dealer for the build and they can verify.

Also, anyone else on Torino? It's on it's way across the ocean with my m235 on board! Here is my time line:

4-7-15 - ordered
4-28-15 - in production
5-6-15 - completed production
5-16-15 - on a boat
