Alfa Romeo Giula leaked before tomorrow's reveal. Looks nice. IT'D BE GREAT TO SEE THE M2 WITH LESS CAMO

Drove an M235i the other day and while it's not bad I don't quite get all the amazing praise the car gets. I like it, I did not dislike it, but it did not feel drastically different from my 2012 135. The manual was nice, better than I remember. Interestingly it did not FEEL that fast but I looked down and was going 85. Maybe the way the torque or power comes on is different from the 135. Anyway, I've been building M3's like crazy. Still waiting on official info from the M2. Compared to the M4 I drove, the 235 left me a bit meh. Obviously s huge difference in everything with those two cars. I hope the M2 feels a good bit faster than the 235. We shall see...

The rawness of the 135 is missing from the 235 - which is a combination (in my opinion) of the electronic steering, better tires, softer suspension, and longer wheelbase. The 235 honestly feels slower than my N54 135 did and is roughly the same to the N55 135 - again, in my opinion. I am sincerely hoping that the rawness factor is cranked up in the M2 - which will likely make the overall experience feel faster, more rewarding, however you want to put it.

That would be awesome! That would be a great place to unveil it. Worst comes to worst, you'll probably get to see the M4 GTS.

here is a pretty cool video of how BMW camoflauges their cars. Some of you may remember the screws on one of the earlier prototypes rear fenders. Sadly this video is very relevant to this car! haha

Mind you I do have a plan to look at the M2 but will wait until the rush is over and then may buy at a good discount. Looking forward to the test drive end of this year.

Interesting render. Change the wheels according to the ones spotted on the latest test mules.

Don't think it will look like that looking at any of the mules, the rear looks more angular and much bigger, and the doors look almost flat, take a look at the M235i racing, the mules look a lot more like that
I'm sure you all remember the post on here where the guy fitted a racing body, I'm not saying the front will be like that but the rear will have to be that big to fit the M4 running gear, obviously it will be finished off properly but it looks a lot like that to me http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1116628 Last edited by Steven1077; 06-26-2015 at 08:54 AM.. |

Very nice! The shadowing you've done brings out the the design curves and edges in a very clear way.
For all intents and purposes, I think you have removed the camo, revealed the m2 and POed a bunch of BMW marketers. In comparing your silhouette to the mule spotted in the yard of the M testing facility, a couple of minor points on the wheel arches. On the rear wheel arch, the portion of the arch closest to the rear bumper needs to continue to parallel the curvature of the tire to its end point, rather than trending away from the tire. The same thing applies, I think, to the front wheel well, on the portion of the arch closest to the front bumper. I could be wrong since sometimes the viewpoint affects those kinds of things. Thanks for the render! |
