I see the option in the M235i convertible at least in the build your own site, and are you basing that off order sheets or the online builder? Because in the builder, although blue isnt a trim option you can click it actually visually defaults to it.

You are stuck with either cloth or white leather if you go with that trim iirc.

Most noticeable is with the US Models only - M Badge deleted from fenders.

I didn't check the convertible options, but there is no code for it when you build the hard top. It will come up on BMWUSA.com builder, but it's a glitch.

Not much except maybe better position on the interior door handles, they are too far forward and awkward, also sliding visors like you get on every car these days, and handles for passengers to hold on to. Not sure why these were omitted.

The return of M-Sport brakes as a stand-alone option in the 228i. Keep the THP available, it's a bargain, but give me the option of just getting the brakes.

Some new colors - a lighter blue would be nice - Laguna Seca Blue would be great.

Grey Leather - Goes with any exterior color.

An Oil Temperature Gauge. Please. In both models. For that matter, in every BMW.

Yes but adds cost since you waste a unit. It should be factory IMHO.

I 'hear' the lines are gone, and an m-sport package will be optional, 228i obviously.

Sounds to me like you're describing an M2.

Sounds to me like you're also describing an M2. BMW has to be careful with what they do with the 235 because it'll cannibalize the M2 sales.

Without getting into 'what the M2 should have' territory, I think LED lights and a HUD would about sum it up for me, aside from having a couple new interior color options.
If I was doing M2. It would say lose 300 lbs minimum plus everything else.

A full lock diff on a street car? Typically you wouldn't want that due to driveability issues, and well it would murder your tires.

But I will say, I really wish we had better wheel options. CSL style wheels would be nice or something. The M235i standard wheels are pretty ugly.

CF interior trim would be another cool one I wish we had.

Yeah wheels are ugly but not a big deal because there are some nice aftermarket choices.

Full lock diff is still variable but it can go up to 100% to one side whereas limited slip has a range limit of about 30% max. The M3 and 1M had full lock diffs. Limited slip is pretty good, full lock more hard core.

1. Temperature gauges.
2. More wheel options.
3. Turbo boost gauge.
4. Wider suspension adjustment range.
5. Move the inside door handles rearwards.
6. HUD.

To those that have more long-term experience with following BMW, what changes typically happen with a yearly update?

Is it realistic to see different color options, wheel options etc?

I thought the '16 order guide should be out by now! Any idea when the website will reflect the '16s? Thanks for the input.

The whole 2 weeks we drove our 228i on our ED in Germany, my wife complain about not having a handle to hold on to. Partially due to my aggressive driving.

My 2015 M235i has EB trim. November 2014 build ED if that makes a difference.
