Carbon roof & steering wheel wrap, white diffuser wrap

I had the roof wrapped today in carbon and the rear centre part of the diffuser in white. The silver y shape on the steering wheel didn't match the rest of the m performance interior so it got wrapped with the same pattern as the roof. I'll put some proper photos on soon, as you can see the quick ones with my phone are not good!

I like the wheel a lot! Please keep us posted on how the diffuser holds up with the heat from the exhaust over time.

I think the "shark fin" would look more natural in gloss black on top of the CF roof. Otherwise very nice work!

Which wrap did you use the 3M or the Hexis CF?

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but is that the open pore CF like on the interior? Or more like the glossy CF they use on the M Performance spoiler? I'd like to do the same, but I'm worried the open pore look wont match with the glossy spoiler and mirror caps. Love the steering wheel too. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?

Thanks! Hopefully the diffuser will be ok, time will tell I guess.

Thanks. I did think about doing that or even doing the whole roof in gloss black. In the end I went for carbon as it's more of a matt grey colour which matches the front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser better.

It's the Hexis. It was a closer match to the other real carbon on the car. The 3M stuff I looked at was too black and the pattern was not as close as the Hexis is to the interior parts.

Cheers! Go for it, most people seem to go with white paint and a black centre, I think it looks way better this way round

It's more open pore like the interior, but when the sun is on it, it does appear shiny. I doubt you will find a perfect match for the mirrors and spoiler. It cost me 300 pounds for everything.

How did your guy wrap the roof rack mounts? I don't want any white to show through on the edges but I'm also worried about just vinyling completely over it without cutting it. Could you take a close up pick of the seam line?
Did they wrap it in a single sheet? Or was it broken down into side trim pieces, roof, and sharkfin all being separate?

He went straight over them. I wanted them covering as I don't ever plan on using a roof rack. I've taken a pic of the seam line right next to where the roof rack mount is. (The car needs washing!) You can see a slight indentation of the rack mounts on the left but you really can't tell unless you know they are there. This is the most noticeable one of the four.

As for them being separate pieces I would say the fin is seperate and really I can't tell if the rails are separate or not he's done such a good job.

Love the steering wheel and love the diffuser. Not so much the roof in CF. I think it would look better in glossy black but that's just my personal opinion.
Would also like to know how the diffuser wrap holds up.

Cheers for the comments. Yeah I was torn between this and the gloss black which also looks great but I'm really happy with it.

The diffuser wrap has been on now for just over a week and there is no sign of any damage/deterioration whatsoever near the exhausts. I really don't think it's close enough to be affected by the heat. I'm getting a catted downpipe fitted in a couple of weeks so hopefully this won't cause any issues either. Fingers crossed!
