M240i Wiper Fluid Jets

Picked up my M240i last friday and noticed that my wiper jets hit all over the roof of my car and the back windows. Does anyone else get this? Wondering if there is a way to adjust this so that the jets hit a bit lower on the windshield.

Thanks!

My 2014 228 does this too. I feel a lot of newer cars commonly do this and I don't understand why they design it that way. It's extremely frustrating for people who like to keep a clean car. It just needs to hit the windshield. Nothing else! It's not rocket science.

Mine hits the windshield rather well. Would take it to the dealer and have them take a look. Seems wasteful otherwise

I haven't studied how our spray nozzles are constructed, but in other cars, the fix has been as simple as taking a thin needle, inserting into the spray hole of each nozzle, and applying the proper (gentle) directional aiming pressure.

I would say from a safety perspective the jets are properly adjusted when at highway cruising speeds they hit the optimum spot and the wipers clear the screen in a single wipe. Keeping the spray off the bodywork is a loosing proposition anyway unless the headlight washers are disconnected.

I was just saying something to the wife about this yesterday morning, lol. Mine hit the windshield exactly how they are supposed too....however the force causes the washer fluid to careen off of the windshield and hit the rest of the car. I was trying to figure out a solution for the issue.

The windshield washers are aimed perfectly to blast tailgatters.

Haven't gotten my headlight washers to shoot yet, but the windshield fluid pressure is the culprit. I'll live with it. Doesn't seem like I can easier move the jets upon first glance.

Funny. I thought my dad was the only one who did this with our old Toyota.

Just hold the washer fluid switch and they will spray as well.

Makes me miss the moonroof - lobbing a cup full of something just right used to have a very similar effect, and with enough skill to keep it interesting (don't let a noob try it, or you'll soak your own back seat). But probably also helped that I was driving a POS that I never even considered would get keyed or rammed - don't want to incite any road rage these days.
