My first sports car (1995 M3) had no traction control at all and only one driving mode. (Only year the e36 M3 didn't have traction control). My next sports car (1997 Corvette) had one driving mode and easily, completely defeatable traction control. So I learned how to drive like a hooligan, and not like a dumbass.
So all these new driving modes, while not confusing, are just overbearing. Just give me one throttle response, one steering wheel feel, soft/hard suspension settings, and traction control on/off and it will be much much better. Don't know about y'all but the 1-2 shift in comfort mode is never comfortable. My shifts are much smoother in the sport modes. |

Folks the throttle response is not muted, it is linear! As most people with lots of track experience will tell you a linear throttle response improves your ability to control the car. Think of the linear throttle response as the performance driving option and the hyper active nonlinear response as the fun on the street let the nannies worry about controlling the car option.
