I saw a BMW driver today.. a real one!

Driving into the office today, coming down I-95, I see a brown BMW flying... I wait till he passes me because I see him cutting in and out of traffic (no blinkers) to pull into the fast lane. Lane slows.. I look into the middle lane and there's plenty of space, but that lane is slowing too.. with a dump truck coming down.. This guy starts to cut over.. dump truck honks and he pulled back into the left lane in front of me. After the dump truck passes me.. I get right behind him.. The BMW cuts across two lanes... gets in front of the truck then gives the truck driver the one finger salute. I was a bit shocked at 1st, but couldn't stop laughing.. All I could think was that within the next couple of weeks... that could be me.

Ok.. so did I get this right? He doesn't use blinkers, drives aggressive, and gives the finger.. Did he hit all the points of a BMW driver or did he miss anything?

I don't think this is anything to laugh about. Just another "real" asshole who in time will cause an accident. Driving like that in any vehicle is just plain stupid. See it everyday on our roadways. Read the obituaries, he will be making them soon.

Gotta admit, I've had the summer tires on for a whole week and already had to give myself the 'don't be THAT kind of BMW driver' scolding a couple of times (not this bad, but too close for my adult side). I'm blaming it on a weak id structure - that, and forgetting to schedule tire change 'til last minute and having to wait. These cars do pull for more exuberance than is prudent.

And as far as I'm concerned, only Audi and Mercedes come in "Brown" - BMW's come in copper, mahogany, or sparkling brown.

I sometimes day dream about being able to attach a small magnetic remote-controlled bomb onto these road a-holes and detonate them after they get to a safe area.
Don't want to kill them, just blow a door/trunk/wheel off these a-hole's car to warn them.

I would like to have the Aston Martin DB5 used in Goldfinger. Those twin 30 cal's would slow em down.

The bumper beam is hiding behind the painted plastic fascia.

I know they all still have a bumper, but it's not like the old days.. You're going to lose your grill and what not before the bumper support even comes into play.. When the 5mph DOT bumper was required, cars had to be able to hit a stationary object at 5mph and have no damage...

My dream is to have some sort of remote control device that lets the air out of the tires - when their vehicle is parked in their driveway or garage. I think it would be the ultimate mind-bender. Push a button and let the air out of just one tire. The owner would get it fixed. Then wait a few days, or perhaps a week, then push the button again. I think this would eventually drive them insane.

Sad really, gives all of us BMW drivers a bad name... even if we don't drive like him. Some people are so self important, and don't think about consequences.

You and me both. 240i + JB4 = traffic is almost always in the way.

On the interstate yesterday, saw the same behavior exhibited by a full variety of "douche-nozzles" driving full variety of makes and models. Sadly a few of the aforementioned do drive BMW's.

Around here the douche-canoes all drive 4x4 lifted diesel trucks, and they're worse than any apex enthusiast. Like, 10x worse..
