2018 M240 Cabrio window wierdness

So as all the Cabrio owners know, when you put the top down/up the windows follow suit. For some reason, not sure exactly when it started, randomly when I put the top up the passenger side window goes up (as it should) then goes back down?? Doesn't always do it, sometimes it stays up.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Z

My 2018 240i cabrio does the same thing occasionally. I suspect it's the anti-trap function on the window and it's just a bit too sensitive. Will see if it goes away with further use, before letting a dealer anywhere near my new baby...

I used to have a car (not BMW) where this would go out of adjustment and do the same thing (when auto-closing it would just reverse back down after seating). There was a 'reset' procedure buried in the manual that worked nicely - IIRC you had to be holding the switch up when you turned the car on or something - I'm sure it is different in BMW, but I bet there is a self-reset function (OK, its a BMW - so 50-50 it is either self-reset, or you need an entire new door assembly flown in from Germany ).

My 2017 cabrio does this too. Not super concerned.

Our E46 occasionally has weird window stuff as well. Think it's just part of convertible life.
