Congrats, beautiful car and color!

Co-incidentally one of my first new cars was a 2004 Accord EX V6 6MT coupe. IMHO, it was much more of a driver's car than the generation you had, but something just makes those Accords mind-numbingly boring after driving them for a few months...

Thanks guys. I am in love with the B58 engine. Always finding an excuse to go for a drive. I am going to keep this one for a while.

Nice. I love the mineral white colour or white cars in general. Have you done any mods to it yet?

I thought I would be happy with the reliability of Honda but I just hated how boring and front heavy the Accord was. I am very satisfied with the power from the B58 so far. I don't think I could ever go back to any other brand.

Before purchasing the M240xi I crossed shopped/test drove:

Q60 Red Sport, Audi S5, Mercedes C43 AMG, BMW 440xi, M240xi. Top two for me was the C43 AMG and the M240xi. The exhaust on the C43 was very intoxicating. But for the price and performance of the M240xi it was no brainer. Plus only the BMW Dealership let me drive the demo cars like I stole it. They actually encouraged it. Lol.

Isn't the C43 AMG actually supposed to be an equal to the m240i when it comes to performance?

Oh wow. I just did 3M clear bra on the hood and the bumper. Definitely worth it to wrap all those parts. Yeh I am trying my best to hold off on the mods. I am very happy with the performance aspect of the M240i so far. I think any more power I would start getting into a lot of trouble with the law.

Yeh performance wise it's pretty identical on paper

C43 AMG = V6/362hp with 384 lb ft of torque.
M240i = I6/ 340hp with 369 lb ft of torque.

C43 AMG felt more like a GT car. Definitely has more road presence IMHO and had good power but was close to 80k Canadian after taxes and delivery.

The M240i IMHO was more fun and felt like it had more power and was 25k cheaper which made the decision super easy. Also wife was happy with the price.

Now I must ask you, since you have had a S5, how is that compared to the 2-series?

I am deciding between a 235, s5 or even s4, I know it's different cars, but what's your take so far? Does the S5 feel like a ship/boat with lots of understeer compared?

I had a 2016 S5 and I lost over $12,000 because I sold it after 6 months. It was exactly as you asked lol. It felt like a boat. I hated it! The shifts were sluggish compared to the m240i and the m240i is way faster. Also, you have little - no OEM aftermarket options. The reason that?s a big problem is unless you have a special connection with the Audi dealership they will void your warranty In 2 seconds with mods. Oh and lastly, they don?t have the 4 year free maintenance option.

I also believe the new S5?s are even larger.

I agree with gk09. B8.5 s5 was a nice car but not a great one. I always felt like there was something missing. S5 does feel heavy but it's still very fast. The supercharger kicks in instantly. It didn't understeer as much as I thought. B9 S5 was a huge turn off for me. The front looks like a Ford fusion with a huge grille and it's grown in size. The back end just looks like a new Chevy Malibu. I can't say much about the 235 because I haven't drove one but the 240 is a great car. It is so much fun. Since 235 is probably identical to 240. I say go for the 235 imho. But if you need four doors go for the 435/440i GC

Yeah, I had to looks up the C43 AMG numbers after I posted and it looks like it's a hair slower than the M240. I would guess the reason being is because it's 300+ pounds heavier.

I would take the Merc is I was looking at the M3/C63 though. The V8 is appealing and I like the interior better. I would probably take the ATS-V over the M3 as well. A buddy has one of those and I love the way that thing drives, even if it's a tiny bit rough around the edges.

I did the full monty, all the windward surface on my M235 as I plan to keep it for awhile. Mucho $$ but will save by not having any touchup bills. We had good luck on past cars with the protective coating, as the cars look like new after 70K.

Great looking car!
