I could never find the right mounting. It would be good for a few hours and then start chirping again. I got so frustrated I took it off. I have a platypus here but I need the extension arm. They claim it will work properly. Hopefully so. If not I will either live with thr tickets for figure out another mounting option

My dealer said they are not drilling into the bumper. They're going to mount it in the middle where it typically goes by using automotive grade double sided 3m tape. Has anyone tried that option?

This is what my foam cutout looked like.
Ignore the second square cutout. I traced and cut the hole for the mount and then quickly realized I did it backwards from the adhesive side. It improved my statistics quite a bit, but not perfect. (Maybe 70% reduction)

Full disclosure, it was having a small fit backing out of the garage Monday after a hard driving session showing off to my cousin. Not a peep prior or since so I'm still happy. My driveway is relatively steep and that is where it always used to go off with the first installation. I'm convinced the sensors adjust based on the pitch of the car.

Mine too. And in the process I scratched the bumper. Luckily with the plate it's hidden. But honest to Christ this frustrated me to no end since it's sold as a Pdc version. But I had to park on the street last night and wanted it on. So I just put it on and I got lucky the first time is finding the spot. I took pics and used a level on my phone so if I need to find to again I have a reference

I'm honestly at the point where I am willing to deal with a ticket, more than having to listen to the beeping. I went about 5 months this year without having it on, and got lucky. A ticket for no front plate is $70, and this bracket was almost $200 (cdn) to my door. I may entertain the 3M route or a strong magnet and just slap it where it belongs. Would look better too IMO, lol

Here a ton of cars don't have front plates. My guess would be at least 10%. A lot are either super high end luxury cars like bentleys or s classes or super cars/exotics. When you see an "enthisuast" they almost always have one. My guess is to not invite a cop too pull them over. You can do it provided you never park on the street. But I do when I go out to the bars. And if there are meters they will ticket you. Also if you get pulled over they will check and ticket. I got several in my old car and just got fed up worrying. But I'm like you. The beeps are too much. I would either not run one and test my luck or drill. I think the ticket here is $50. The bracket was less than $100. And I don't cringe when I walk up to my car looking for a ticket. And honestly I like the look of the tow hook plate |

Reviving this thread...I finally came up with a fix that works. Some folks have used sound absorbing material on the backside of the bracket with good results. I?m not sure who posted it but the constant going off of the sensors is definitely caused by vibration.
Rather than buy a sheet of sound deadening pad I looked around the house for some weatherstripping or anything else I could use. Well I found a roll of Frost King weatherstripping - you know the gray foam that you can use to seal door jambs. Applied it in strips on the back side of the bracket and it worked like a charm. It actually took a few days for me to realize the the sensors weren?t going off constantly. I never realized how quiet the car is without the PDC going off like crazy.
