So eventually got round to fitting.
Simply remove the existing cover with the provided wood tool which slides under the cover and you can pull up to unclip.

Once removed you need to break off the centre tab to make space for the batteries to sit flush against the sill. This is soft and can be cut off with a good pair of scissors.

Then push the new cover into place.

There is a protective film over the cover which has a magnet picture. Place the small foam pad on this and the supplied magnet on top. Close the door and the magnetic will stick to the under side of the door. Slide the magnetic to the flat surface and stick the magnet cover on.

Easy. All done once protective film has been removed.

2 x cell batteries on the under side. Magnet activated.
Instructions say 3 year life.

Can be changed
