That's what I got as well. Options, we don't need no stinkin' options!

I have a Mineral Grey M235 RWD, HK, enhanced bluetooth/usb and alarm were the only options. While in hind sight I would have skipped the HK system for an aftermarket set up, it sounds decent.

LOL, I'm one of them

Heated seats really do help even in Southern CA. Just imagine going for a night drive in winter (40-50F), which I do a LOT. Sure, it's not Boston, but it's really nice to have ... it makes the difference between managing and being comfortable. I like to be comfortable.

I, personally, don't see anything wrong or foolish about loading a "driver's car" (getting sick of that term, btw) with creature comforts to make any drive more comfortable. That's just me.

Comfortable (climate control, butt heaters), well entertained (good audio system), and heading in the right direction with proper guidance (nav), to me, makes for a better ride

My wife (native Southern Californian) won't have a car without heated seats either. I see lots of cars on lots here with the full cold weather package too which amazes me. You know you live in a nice place when temperatures in the 50's qualifies as "cold weather".

You guys crack me up, but, obviously, to each his own. I must admit, on a cold (truly cold ) night, a seat warmer is a nice touch. I also must admit, at my core, I'm a cheapskate, so I'll survive the few freezing days a year the Virginia coast throws at me.

I'm close, 228i ordered with M-sport, 6mt, and heated seats. Since all 2015 MY cars have enhanced bluetooth standard I don't need anything else. It will get Dinan Stage 1 as soon as it gets to the dealer.

Seat warmer? Heck, now that I've had a heated steering wheel, I'm not going back!

My FiST blows the doors off my 1er in terms of features and the only option I got when I ordered that was the upgraded seats. But I love that aspect of my 1 series; you get in it and drive, there's no distractions. Just wish it had heated hood nozzles for winter driving... which my ford has... and heated seats... which my ford h-- nvm.

While I'm all for stripped cars, with the m235i, since you can't order it with an idrive delete, might as well get that package that has the better of the two screens. Funny how I see it that way even when I prefer less options, I'll chalk that up to a clever move by BMW.

I have Melbourne Red and the Sunroof (not by choice), and that's it. So maybe I'm a strip-tease?

Canadian cars come standard with leather (M235i only) and the Climate Package.

Other than opting for Glacier Silver and getting the HK upgrade for sound, mine has nothing added. I am leasing the M235 for the "Ultimate Driving Experience" not to play with gadgets.

BMW of Beaumont, in Texas, had a black 228i with no options except the no-cost 6-speed manual for sale, so someone out there is driving a true stripper 2

My 228i (being produced this week) will have just two options – glacier silver and the back up camera. My reasoning is like yours – less cost and less weight. I’m replacing my 2004 325Ci (silver grey). It has been great for these last eleven years. My only regret with it has been wasting over $4,000 on three packages, which I did not want, but took because I wanted the car and just could not wait for a special order.

Money is not that much of an issue issue for me. I went to the dealer ship to buy a 4 Series (I still think they look better). But after driving the 4 Series (and a really nice used 335Ci) I did not like either enough to change cars. Then I tried the 228i. What a difference! The 228i seemed so much more light and responsive - that I was sold.

I want a great driving reliable, comfortable car with “enough” performance. The 325 Ci was that for eleven years. Before that it was a “base” (four cylinder) 1997 Z3, and before that a 316C hatchback that I drove 1994-97 while living in Germany. (I have to admit that one was a tad down on performance – but I really enjoyed driving it). I expect the 228i to be the best of the lot.

I do not fit the profile of most on this board. But I love the cars and have been to enough track days (just watching) to appreciate what you all are after with the speed stuff. Back in the 1960's I auto crossed an Alfa Guilietta Spyder Veloce. On a tight course it was about as quick as the muscle cars that would run sometimes - but the Alfa make a lot less smoke. 50 years later...I still miss it.

Hmm... Streaming Bluetooth is supposed to be standard.

In my opinion, the M235i is one of those rare BMWs where you could buy with no options and still not feel short changed. Firstly the basics of the car are great, and then most of the must have BMW options, like the sport package and xenon headlamps are included.

Saying that, I have grown to love the tech on BMWs, so I ordered mine with the Technology Package, Driver Assistance Package (for the rear view camera), the Premium Package (for the auto dimming mirrors). I also went for the sunroof delete and manual transmission :-)

Agreed! An M235i with no options, oops I mean a stripper is a phenomenal car as is even though I couldn't resist, I added Glacier Silver Metallic Paint, Drivers Assistance pkg, Alarm, HK, black kidney grills and wheel locks

Of course you know if you opted for any color other than Alpine White your car truly isn't a "stripper" LOL, just kidding...

Excellent! That is my build exactly, except I added a limited slip rear end and heated seats.

AlpineF31, I added heated seats too. I was so close to going for the limited slip but I don't track my car, and that was a big ticket item. Mine's alpine white - guessing you went AW for yours too.

I came from an F30 which had premium pkg and decided it's not worth the $3000. Prefer the leatherette to leather for easier maintenance, and the other stuff (keyless entry, etc) while missed a little aren't that big of a deal. Less parts to go bad later anyway.
