This car bugs me. Why not a 12 series or a 9 series? Give me a brake!

My toothless, pimple faced sister is offended by being compared to a 1-series.

Joking aside...I have always thought the 1 series was ugly and did not look like a BMW. The 2 series does look like a BMW. As for this car...I like it. The LSD addition alone makes it a better track car than the standard M235i. I do not like the steering wheel. It just looks like it should be in a car that has a shag carpet headliner and hydraulic bouncy shocks. I like the wheels...but they do not look sporty, they look luxury. I am one of those Americans that think anything other than leather looks cheap...including the Vinyl. That being said I think Dakota leather looks and feels like vinyl and therefore looks cheap. It will probably hold up better over time though. Luxurious leather usually dose not.

Not a fan, why deprive all those guys that want to add a lot of plastic on their car?
Calling it a "track edition" obligates you to add stuff like a roll cage, dry-sump etc.

Wheels look really off, interior alcantara parts and pedals are good looking.

Understand the move marketing wise though,
but its still a lot of show and no go.

(They charge you about $110.000,- for it too, tax included!)

I test drove that car again (it has around 1400km now) and i feel it really good. But for my use the M135i Xdrive is still better.

I prefer the "versatility" of th M135i Xdrive as the "sportivity" of this M235i. In NL we have a really wet and cold wheather, for every days I'm for sure more enjoying my car as that M235i.

I love the pictures btw Kornmuse

Those rims and spoilers probably won't do everyday usability any good.

I wish it would detract also since I miss my Garman Navigation Unit (the BMW Navigation Unit is confusing and many times tells me to bear left when I should be bearing right and keeps using the word bear left and right for making left and right turns) and the BMW big screen is in my way to use my Garman. If the Audi would have had removable back head rests, I would have gone back for a 2nd test drive as the leather interior was nicer and it handled so nice and I loved the all-wheel drive feature and I was told that the Navigation is touch screen.

The back head rests on the Audi being so large and blocking my view and not being removable was what had me write off the fully loaded Audi A3 since the Audi A4 was too big.

Also yesterday I had to move my passenger seat all the way up to fold down the seat to use the fold down seat option (was buying stackable crates at staples) so despite BMW now allowing the head rests to fold down to not block my view that much. When I came home from Staples, I removed the back very black head rests (will store them safely until it is time to return my leased vehicle) as I rarely have anyone sit in my back seat. I like to keep the passenger seat back to make sure my little dog's car seats does not have too much room in the front of it so she can't hang herself if she tries to get out despite strapping the foam car seat in.

I do love the lighting package when I am driving at night!
