My only issue with the Oyster interior is that it changes the seat bases to white as well (but button area is black). Not the best execution, so I went black. I was hoping the oyster would be a 2 tone closer to Audi S4 appearance (black external parts, white center panels), but it was just too much white for me.

I went oyster with my ordered 228i. The exterior is estoril blue. I strongly considered the terra as well, but not the red or black. It is all personal preference nothing more...

I have and love the coral red leather; however, at 4,200 miles on the car, I have noticed significant colour transfer of my blue jeans, especially on the driver's side door bolster. Need to shampoo and condition asap. With that being said, I don't regret the choice

Funny you say that, I've experienced the same thing in the exact same spot. Nothing my Zaino leather cleaner couldn't handle though.

I prefer Terra over all. With Coral in second. Good choice on the AW. I like the Terra because it is classy and sporty at the same time. The car can be a nice evening cruiser, take the gf to dinner etc, or can be looked at as sporty. Just love that combo.

May look boring for others, but I went with black for easy cleaning and maintenance.

i went with red too and just noticed that my blue jeans are transferring to the driver seat area. I cleaned it just now with some lexol leather cleaner and it looks brand new again. so go with what ever color you want just clean them once a month and you should be good. i like my red i have no regrets. i like the oyster too but after seeing my lexus seats in that color they have worn pretty bad and the tranferred color on the seat part of the driver area is all cracked and grey in color. the lexol will not do any justice on the white color leather in my lexus. keep that in mind, maybe if you upkeep the oyster you will not have any issues.

I like my Coral red. I've historically gone with the Dakota brown but with my Mineral White, the red just pops. I haven't noticed any discoloration after 6k miles.

Here's a pic I took that compares it to a round of Baby Bell gouda. :-)

I went with Black, Dakota leather is a little stiff, but will break in. Had a 2007 Infiniti G35 with Grey leather (180k miles), wore jeans a lot and had no real issues. It's all preference... not a look at me kinda guy, so went functional (and like the all white/black with rag top). Do not like the red seatbelt 'eyes' though.. need to rip that rubber off.

It won't discolor. I had cr for 3 1/2 years....beautiful. Jeans transfer color to anything and is easily cleaned. Everyone needs to break in their jeans.....

I do like the look and wear of it. I have a beige couch made out of it that has survived a wiener dog and a toddler so far. That said, it's "stickier" and give me a weggie. I don't know if I'd want that in a car. I'd have to start wearing a thong. No one wins in that scenario.

I have the Dakota Coral Red leather and it still looks like new after 10 months of ownership. And so do my blue jeans.

That's why race cars have it.....don't slide around at all.
