Milltek M235i Turbo-Back

Alright everyone,

Good news for any owner in UK, however it's also good news for any other M235i owner.

I will be making a seperate thread for my car but thought I would post this photo and leave it here..

I will keep you updated.

One week later, the final product. Valves opened, recorded with just an iPhone 5. Lovely worble at idle, barbles/rumbles loads off throttle a lovely dep throaty sound. Very impressed, reccomend this system to anyone.

That's a great pic.

I'm thinking about doing my wheels black too. Are yours painted, plastidipped or powder coated?

Thanks. It looks perfect like that!
The wheels no longer look too small for the car. I hate that about them.

No problem, me too. It was an instant request I made when buying the car along with Gloss black kidney grills and mirrors.

It's getting a photoshoot down at milltek so I will post photos when I receive them!

Not going for quad exhaust, due to would need a new diffuser and wasn't keen on cutting.

I'm going for satin black, slight slashcut tips full turbo-back system and it will be Millteks first electronic valve controlled BMW system to follow OEM design.

I will ask when it will be available for public as it was difficult for UK owners to get a full system basically only available was M performance cat back or Remus. Everything else is
Imported!

Would love to hear M performance in comparison to this, I will be picking the car up soon and will upload a video when I can and photos when I receive.

Cheers everyone!

Your car looks amazing but I don't understand why, it's even dirty and dusted, but looks great! Was it a good shot or there's something special with the car?

Has it been lowered?

Haha, thank you. That was after a 7 hour drive, 420 miles! Just a standard quick shot on my phone! Not lowered either, was tempted but love the way it sits. Car is extremely well maintained as I'm an avid detailer !

Think it's the blue, seems to give a great effect even when it's filthy!

Picking my car up Monday morning! Can not wait!!!

Getting the non-resonated version.. Should hopefully be like the 1M Turbo-back, as M135i is cat-back only.

Just picked the car up and drove 420 miles home.

It sounds absolutely amazing. Valve control isn't even needed for it to sound lethal! Howevr putting in sport mode opens valves for deeper noise. idling sounds gorgeous, and on quick shifting sounds insane. Hot tips meant extreme barbling/ crackles off throttle.

Extremely pleased. Will need to get videos and photos but it's dark and needs cleaned, milltek have done a Hi-res photoshoot that I will post and think they done a rolling video.

Also will ask the PS/BHP it put down.

In love!

Excuse dirty pictures on these first two.

The satin black is an ideal match to OEM, larger tips fills out diffuser and they're thin tip making it look meaner. 1st to second gear sound very aggressive no matter how subtle you're driving it's brill.

Should be available to public in 4-6 weeks as mines is first for m235i.

Idle, video on iPhone doesn't do it justice a very nice burble. This is valve CLOSED.

Rev valve open, iPhone sucks but still good idea.

Thank you - I agree It actually does sound exotic when valve is open and quick shifting at around 4k rpm. Turns a lot more heads now,and only had it a day.

Worth every penny for anyone considering an exhaust, this is the non-resonated version from Milltek.

Will post photographs or more videos when I receive them.

I will need a higher quality drive by recording, I think Milltek might have done one not sure.

Got 39mpg on the 420 mile journey home with milltek.

Sounds good indeed, looking forward to it going on sale. But did you go for a sport cat as well, or only cat-back with the original one in place? Because of the CEL light and the problems (need to tune) that it gives.

No sport cat, just non-resonated. No lights on as of yet and drove 7 hours straight. Will see what like, warranty too!

Only drone if you listen out for it, not really noticeable at all to be honest so little drone which I was surprised after hearing how loud it sounded.

Design is supposedly relatively similar to OEM, they have used same circumference/diameter down pipes. However they said OEM full system have a lot of bends If I remember correctly. Therefore they said they would require modification to make as it's different from M135. Valve is located at the tips, they also fitted anti-rattle clamps to the tips to prevent any loose or rattling to come in say a few years.

Big difference from cat-back to turbo back. Valve is noticeable just becomes deeper note.

Other than that they said was pretty straight forward, I have asked about the power increase.

Doing a resonated version or non-resonated.

When I get underbody hi-resolution photographs il upload them
