It's a port-installed option at the moment. I believe it's running about $3K.

Anyone know why the M235 available in less colors than the 228, both exterior and interior seat color options? Sorta sucks.

Not sure why the 235 has fewer color choices. Bummed me out. I was hoping better color options would help me pull the triggered and swap the 335 for a 235. Hasn't happened yet.

No it's not, it's only available as dealer install option right now.

I wish they would hurry up and make it available as port install.

Does anyone know if I wait for the 2015 to get the X-Drive on my BMW 228i for $1800 extra, will there be any discounts or specials offered like right now that we get $1,000 option credit from BMW? I am trying to decide to order now to get specials or wait to get X-Drive. I wonder how much extra the price will be if I wait and if anyone will give me a deal on the new car? I have a home office so I only was affected a few times in the three years I had the car but I would prefer to not be afraid to go out until roads are totally clear like I do now.

Also I was told last night that the .63 Residual Value could go down and make my payment go up for the 2015 BMW 228i for 10,000 miles. Does anyone know if this information guessing by the salesman is correct or wrong?

Since I drive an automatic, I really would like the XDrive but I do not want a much higher payment due to residual value changes or no manufacturer offers.

Does anyone know if the Tier 1 Money Factor of 0.0013 will change for the 2015 BMW 228i leases?

Thank you! Everyone on this site is great. After my long extended test drive in the BMW 228i last night on winding roads, I can't wait to trade in my BMW 128i car. Before last night, I was not sure I was ready to part with it as I love my car which fits petite me.

Welp, guess my salesman lied to me about expected 2015 model year price increases.

A salesman lying? Shocking .

BTW, the cold weather package is $150 more on the 2015 models compared to 2014.

Still, I'm getting my 2014 M235i on Wednesday this week and I'll get to enjoy driving it around during the European summer instead of waiting around for 2015 production to begin. No regrets.

If a salesman tells you something, and you cannot verify that it is true, assume it is a lie.

Thank you yep and Canaletto for reminding me that salesmen lie and are not to be trusted if they can not verify in writing what they tell me.

Residuals are pretty high right now... I suspect they will go down, but it is anyone's guess. BMW supports sales with these numbers as much as they try to align the values with what they believe the car will be worth. Best time to buy is end of year. Everyone (BMW, MB, Audi) is trying to squeeze as many units as possible, so you can almost count on high residuals, low interest and an incentive.

Xdrive won't help much if your tires are made for the summer... rear wheel drive and snow tires is better in the snow than all wheel drive and summer tires.

SMH I'm a little PO'd about the non-full oyster interior for Msport. BMW should offer both variants for people ordering cars!

I was planning Msport 228i convertible with Mineral White, brushed aluminum trims, and full oyster interior.

-Not sure about the Moonlight metallic top option...but they better offer something other than the "plain black" tops especially since the 1 series had metallic and taupe color top options.

Good thing I'm still 2 years away from ordering my new 2 series...I have more time to figure out my order. 2 years comes quick when planning an order for a car you are exited about..

Soooo... Let me get this straight. You want a stock exterior looking 228 (totally boring) with msport brakes, sports seats and a $1600 perf msport steering wheel. But you don't want to order a sport line or msport body kit that makes the car look awesome?? Let alone the suspension that comes with those kits?? The suspension is Everything. This just seems so strange.

Maybe I don't think that the stock exterior looks totally boring?

Besides, I've realized that the exterior of a car isn't that important to me. I can't see what the car looks like when I'm driving it.

Right but what's the difference? is there an S on the car now (so it'd read 228is)? Is there more mpg? just strictly lower emissions?

There should be a sticker on the rear windows that says SULEV. Aside from that, the engine gets a different designation (N26) because it includes some extra parts which help it reach this level of super ultra low emissions. http://prodcds.bmwuniversity.com/lib...6%20Engine.pdf

Thanks

On a separate note, can someone confirm for me what I'm reading

the 228xi M Sport/Sport Line has no M Sport Suspension, thus no lower ride height?

i think i found out the answer based on some internet searches:

the Adaptive M Suspension will lower the ride height on 3 of the four 2 series configs. The 228xi will not get lowered no matter what is selected.

Good! They separated the "6NS Enhanced Bluetooth" as a stand alone $500 option. Before it was only bundled in the Tech Pack, which made $2,150 just so that I could stream Pandora via bluetooth a little INSANE!

What can you do without that option? stream music through a cable or anything?
