Does anyone have a mineral white m235i with smoked or clear front reflectors ?
Pics would be appreciated I'm trying to make a decision on which would suit mine. Thanks in advance! |

If you "google" this exact phrase "white m235i with smoked or clear front reflectors" You will get plenty of pics with both options...

I tried that already. Mostly clear ones only no smoked. Hence why I'm here :/. Plus a fully body picture would really help me decide rather than up close. Thanks though.

A third alternative is body-color reflectors. Did that to my 335i and the wife's 228i.

I think the painted look works great. I have them on my gray M235.

If your personal calcuation is that a minor style improvement is worth that risk to you and whomever hits you one dark night (consider the 70+ year old intersecting driver with macular degeneration and it's raining, for example), the choices are available to be made. There is no clear dividing line for "safety"...it is always a matter of risk management and reduction. In this case, there was enough data to reach the conclusion that reflectors and lamps made a sufficient difference to require them of all manufacturers.

This is why I'm definitely considering the smoked side markers instead of painted. My only concern is if light will still reflect decently off the smoked reflectors/condensation occurring in the smoked reflectors. I can't seem to find a video on light reflection testing with the smoked reflectors. I was hoping to get some input from users here. I have only seen one thread which talks about them and how they possibly gather condensation. If anyone has more input please feel free to share. |
