Areas where pool of water gets caught

Hello

I just finished detailing my M235i for the first time. I have been noticing multiple areas of dirt build up. However, I would like to address the biggest issue which is the plastic cover for the rear tail lights. Does anyone else have this issue?

thank you

Are you describing where the water drains around the trunk channel down under the black flap ontop of rear light cluster ?

If you are, vacuum or use a Q-tip to clean and once a year or so remove light cluster ( technique described in other thread ) and clean and wax.

Excellent suggestion. I usually hit above the tail lights and under hood around the cowl with the Shop Vac. Another good tip is to fold you mirrors in after drying to get the bit or water out.

Lol. Use a leaf blower for drying you will get 99% of the water out of the mirrors. That remaining 1% will get you the moment you start driving though.

Another area that pools water is under the hood on the plastic cowls. And, the stupid inner ring behind the spokes on the wheels.

I use a combination of compressed air and vacuum around the seams and where water pools. That tends to get majority of the water out for me.
