The back is terrible, small lights, skinny tires, looks not very dynamic. Hence we need an M2......

Me too--didnt someone mention snow tires???

I believe that the tires are the same size as the E82 135, but maybe I am wrong

Care to show us a sketch of how you would design it? You must be a very talented graphic designer, with ideas worth hearing. I look forward to seeing your work.

I am really digging the red. in these pics it reminds me of imola, which I love. I am however having a tough time with the rear and I think its the bumper. the black portion is too much and not shaped well. it needs to be more like the M sport bumpers of past. E46 ZHP, E9X, E8X, etc. I am sure the aftermarket will come up with something pretty quick, but it just sucks to buy a new car and hate parts of it right out of the gate. you know?

All this fuss about the rear diffuser. It does cheapen the look of the car, but all you need to do is tick the option 'color code rear bumper diffuser to the rest of the car'.

Problem solved.

Arrow more night shots of the M235i @Welt...

A friend of mine @xTReeM just sent me these night time shots of the M235i seen at the Welt. They were taken about an hour ago. I thought I'd share them with you guys! Thanks Florian!! Flo said the car really looks good in person. The wheels did look kind of small and the car needs to be lowered a bit. Other than those two things its a WINNER!

I think the M235i is looking like "our" kind of BMW.

Dackel

Also I can recommend the restaurant "Bavarie" there...
Still feeling quite filled up to the top :-)

Dackel, where you by chance able to see what kind of ambient lighting the M235i has inside at night? Or was it still too bright in the showroom?

Also, the car is begging for some 10" wide rear wheels...like the 1M Coupe had.

I was not at the Welt to see this M235i. These pics were taken by @xTReeM (Flo) and Stefan both friends of mine. Maybe they will chime in.

I will get to see the M235i next month at Geneva. I am looking forward to it. I might be able to get the chance to see one before then. I will let you know if that happens.

Lol nice to see your taking my comment so serious. Lol so your saying I shouldn't have an opinion. I admitted the car looks good and only fault was the diffuser. Sheesh

Glad to see someone agrees the rear diffuser doesn't seem right.

Was also my first thought... Take off that ugly diff and get that performance one mounted... Also the mirror caps need to be replaced with the carbon fiber ones... Then get it an inch lower, mount other rims and wider tires and it looks really awesome... The headlights are REALLY good looking :-)

@xTReeM told me it looked to be glossy shadowline(like) trim around the exhaust pipes (and up)to the painted bumper cover. I suspect ///M Performance has something special waiting to show us soon. I hope!

UPDATE: @xTReeM took a closer look at his high res pictures... the diffuser is NOT shadowline glossy, but rather a matt abs plastic. Have a look at these new pics...
