Wagner Catless DP

Hey everyone, hoping for some clarification here.

I went to install my Wagner Catless DP and was able to get the stock DP out relatively easy. However, now looking at the Wagner Catless DP, there is no way the lower bung location is a plug and play for our cars. You would have to cut and splice the wiring and add a few inches to maybe get it to work.

Looking at the box that it was received in, I can see the correct part number on the outside: 500001017. However the part is labeled: 00500108. Is this correct?

Also, comparing it side by side. You can see on the wagner, the O2 bung is much lower.

Hoping someone can confirm that Wagner just put in the wrong DP in this box as I was under the impression this should be a plug and play application.

I had the exact one on my car before going to a Wagner catted. Correct there is a lot less slack in the cable but you can get it on. The catted pipe is exactly the same externally. When installing mine I thought the same thing and thought it wouldn't work at first.

Actually just looked and I wasn't able to use one of the clips on the cable that originally retained it to get enough slack.

Here is a picture of my Wagner from above. I put a circle around the clip that I couldn't use. It is still on the cable, but there is not enough length on the cable to clip it in and still reach the sensor. Didn't see any way around this.

Thanks for the insight guys.

Yeah i had already unclipped it from the only retaining clip that I saw. I suppose it's just a very tight fit. Wonder why Wagner put the o2 bung that low when there is such little room to work.

Hi,
That is the correct downpipe.

this number 00500108 is the engineering number not the part number. Notice it starts with a 0. All Wagner downpipes part numbers start with 5

Not sure why Wagner decided to have their engineering numbers and part numbers so similar

I had to reroute the wiring on my 2015 235 also. I was expecting a German part to fit correctly, but it didn't. Neither did the Wagner intercooler.

I'm also getting a catless downpipe detected code and mine is not catless. Frustrating! I'll just turn the auto code delete back on.

The car sure picked up some power with these parts though.

Sorry to hear about your issues, we sell a ton of Wagner products. Fitment issues is not common with these parts.

Most catted downpipes will get a CEL code if you do not have a JB4 with auto clear on.
The only downpipe that will not get you a CEL is the Fabspeed catted DP

Mike,

I'm not overly concerned about the issues with my Wagner parts, I wasn't expecting the mounting tab on the IC to be welded on crooked though.

I'm happy with the performance. 12.68sec @ 109mph with a heavy F23.
