Try Amazon if not. They have literally 1000x what Hd does. Just make sure the sticky stuff is on the narrow side.

Just want to say thank you to all of you who provided feedback while I was waiting on my CAI. So I ended up having a snow valve, and since I bought the intake used I ended up buying the hardware kit since I was missing the smaller clips, seal, and cover for snow valve. Got it installed but I've been running the car with out the snow valve cover since I just havnt found time to borrow a rivet gun. JB4 did show codes, MAF sensor electrical short circuit to B. I'm guessing it's normal, car runs fine I did notice slight idle stutter but only for seconds and that's on cold starts only. This was the last thing to officially be FBO and I decided this last as we all know performance from an intake is minimal. I don't feel any difference than the stock but it's nice to know the car is sucking in alot more air than the restrictive stock filter.

Not that I'm advocating this but Home Depot has a tool rental via use it once and return it option.

so to replace/clean the filter every 20k miles or so...does one simply undo the 4 clips around the box and lift the pipe and its assembly up and unscrew the filter from there-or do you have to mess with the clips/ hose clamps and that sensor?

Its is very simple to pull the Dinan intake out for maintenance. One wormgear clamp and 4 clamps to remove the housing and tube. You can leave the MAF connected. Wormgear clamp at filter to filter housing. Quick and easy

I'm looking to replace my air filter only for a new one, will buying it direct from Dinan be my best option or can we get them else where for a better price? While I'm at it I was gonna redo the weather striping, has anyone else needed to or for safe measure a good idea?

I used weather stripping from Home Depot or Lowe's to seal the air box and purchased a new filter from ECS Tuning for 82.80 with a coupon around blk Friday.

And many F22/23 guys have done this as well. General consensus is sound improvement and no performance increase (some argue negative due to higher temp).

Personal opinion - Dinan with stock lower box is best until you get into Eventuri silly money land. You can add the AFE scoop but I don't think that does much TBH. I have one on the wagon where the install is 100% good, not on the convertible where the support pop rivet won't work.

Agree - with yr opinion above.

I ended up with oem lower airbox + Dinan CAI + AFE DAS on my M135i - it offered marginal improvement in IAT and throttle reponse compared to my prior setup - which was OEM airbox, AFE dry drop in panel filter and AFE DAS. This was a good VFM upgrade IMHO as it yielded better IAT's and throttle response than stock.
