Hey Everyone,

After what seemed to be a very long wait, my PCD is rapidly approaching. I’m just about two weeks out; scheduled for 9/18. Anyone with me??

I sold my 2011 135i 6MT vert a few months ago (BSM/Coral) and have been eagerly awaiting my new 2016 M235i vert!

For those interested in my build, timeline, and pricing:

Ordered: 6/1 (w/$1000 deposit)
Prod Number Assigned: 6/15
Production Began: 7/12
Production Ended: 7/23
Loaded on a Ship: 8/04
Arrived at NJ VPC: 8/19
Left VPC: 8/28
Arrived PCD: 9/3
PCD Delivery: 9/18

So I guess about 15-16 weeks from Order to Delivery. Not TOO bad…

My Pricing:
Total MSRP: $61,170
Sell Price: $56,370 (not including incentives below)
Incentives: $2,000 for Drive event and Recent College Grad (found out Grad school counts too!)
Fees: $369 Dealer Doc Fee; $411 DMV 4-yr Registration Fee
Tax: NJ 7% plus .4% Luxury Tax
Finance: 2.79% for 60 mo.
Before fees and taxes, I’m about 11% under MSRP; after fees and taxes, that drops to about 4% under MSRP.
Not bad for a non-ED sale, I think.

I’m in northern NJ, Essex County. I’ve only seen one M235 on the road since I started really looking for it about 6-8 months ago. Looking forward to getting to know some of the local guys and this forum, as always, has been a wealth of information!

I'm still trying to formulate my route back from PCD, search has been incredibly helpful. Thinking PCD-Knoxville (or Asheville if I can't make it) for 1st night, then to DC-area 2nd Night, and home to NJ. Suggestions always welcome!

Curious that you mention Grad School counts. I used my College Grad discount for my Bachelors last year and now planning on using it again since I'm getting my Masters early next year for an M3. Did you already graduate or did you need to provide proof you were eligible to?

Graduated in May. Per my CA: 4 months before graduation (I'm assuming they'd need some kind of proof that you'd be eligible after the semester) or 12 months after to qualify.

Congrats AAR! My car is at Bremerhaven waiting for a boat. I'm doing the PCD, but have to wait until 10.29 unfortunately. I'm in Middlesex County, but work in Basking Ridge. You might see me on I-78 in the new few months haha Which dealer are you using?

I try to avoid 78 when I can. My fiancee is a teacher and works in Florham Park so she's on it every day.

I shopped all over the US and 6-7 local guys. Bloomfield provided the best price (especially on port-installed items) and CA responsiveness. Couldn't be happier, it's been a seamless process once I narrowed the field.

What's the 0.4% Luxury Tax all about? I don't see that on my invoice. I'm going through Flemington. I bought my 330i there and have been pretty happy with their sales and service.

Any vehicle purchase >$45k, .4% additional tax is collected. A quick search found this document:
