Air noise...? You mean the sound of the turbo/intake sucking sounds? What were you expecting by removing all the OEM baffling in place that is precisely there to reduce sound.

No, no. i was expecting the turbo, intake sucking noise. it is hard to explain, it is similar to an exhaust drone (monotone sound). i think it is the sound of air coming from the ram vent and hitting the engine bay since it is only heard at >45 mph.
Just wondering if anyone had a similar noise.

No. You're hearing the sound of the turbo sucking air.

Thanks, that being said at low speed with same engine rpm (lower gear), the sound is not there. Anyways, just wondering if i am going crazy here or if it is common.

Intake air velocity is dictated by load, not RPM or speed.

Thanks for the info. I am looking at buying the AFE scorcher. Did you install it yourself? Where is the TMap sensor so I know which one to order? Thanks for any help or advice

It's located right before the throttle body. Before entering the intake manifold.

These are the pictures used for the BMS JB4 tunes:

I may have the same thing. I have an injen intake and I get a very slight intake air noise while cruising on the highway around 1700-2000 rpm. It almost sounds like it on the cusp of making the whistle noise when you step on it. But it's not quoted there so it's a lower pitched almost "rattle ish". It is from the intake and everything is tight and nothing is wrong with my car.
