Just ordered a M240i Coupe-

- Mineral Gray
- Terra Dakota leather
- cold weather
- driver assistance
- driver assistance plus
- H/K and Nav
- LSD, black grilles, stainless pedals
- auto trans

Currently on the Bishu Highway. This is in addition to my 2015 MG/SO M3. Cannot wait.

Such a great drivers car.

Will you have all-season or summer tire's ?

After owning mine for two years I finally spent the time to really dial in my seating position, seat as low as possible, rake and bladder and wings just right, and the experience is phenomenal.

Mineral Gray classy.

Summer tires, in the south so really no need for all seasons. Thanks!

Same as mine except that I did not get the LSD, black grilles, stainless pedals. On the Intrepid sailing slowly here. Couple more weeks.

You can verify with dealer, but the summer tires used to also come with the 'high speed option' which resets your limiter from about 130 up to about 155 or 160. Should be on your option list as one of those additional codes. Mine had this, even with the runflat summer Conti's (not just for the super-hipo PSS's, but they are the staggered width). Doubt I'll ever get mine up that far to see (155 or 160), but I am 'pretty confident' that it is not still set at 130.

And I just came across this - cool link on engine break in process (long thread elsewhere too, don't mean to jack this thread). You can skip e/t after about 4min.

Good video

It describes much the same process I've used over the years to break in engines

I'm still driving a VW that I broke in this way and its got 300k on it and burns no oil

Lots of threads on upgrading speakers. You can get a better sound for less money than the HK option. I have Focal ISC 100 speakers in my M235i.

This video should be a sticky

But first impressions about the M240

LOVE how the car drives......

Clutch/Tranny are without a doubt one of the nicest I've ever driven
Seats are far more comfortable than other vehicles I've owned

The H/K sound system sounds "OK" but I guess I expected more from a nearly 900 dollar upgrade......dont you think BMW could have at least included an equalizer function in idrive for nine hundred freakin' dollars?

Lack of instrumentation option is disappointing but resolvable via OBDII/Dash Command.....again....you would think that BMW would make simple stuff like Temp avail through the idrive dashboard

This link covers it very well, probably others too. You don't really need the triangle speakers, if you use a coaxial (simpler this way). You can get the HK pieces to put tweeters on the door, but I'm afraid that I couldn't reproduce the factory sealing around the window seals.
