Bavarian Autosport might have some after-market version

Just get the F10 M5 knob like everyone else who wants an illuminated ZHP knob.

The F10 M5 knob comes attached to the boot (as does our knobs + boots), just cut boot off both knobs.. and put your 2er boot back on with the M5 knob over it. Done.

Too much work for too little benefit. You'll end up ruining both shift boots. I honestly forgot that some models got illuminated shift knobs.

You in no way ruin shift boots. Who cares about the F10 boot anyways since you won't be reusing that one. (mine came out perfectly anyways)

I'm also using the E46 performance knob (silver instead of dark carbon for the newer F-chassis cars.. since it goes better with my interior) with the BMW performance alcantara shift boot that was made for the F22 (the person before just wanted the knob, so I just got the boot - worked out perfectly for the both of us)

Once I get time I'll be wiring in the illuminated knob.

We tried installing a ZHP knob on my friends 135i and you have to separate the boot from the knob. Once you do that they'll never perfectly fit back together.

How do you think they all fit on earlier models that didn't have them attached to each other? My alcantara boot & perf knob/illuminated knob fit together 100% perfectly.
