Engine temp/ throttle blip

Just upgraded to a 2018 m240i. Finally a temp gauge so you can confirm car is warmed up before really hitting the throttle. Temp gauge not the most convenient but I think I found a work around. Earlier today I started the car cold and as I was driving noticed the automatic throttle blip was not immediately working (manual transmission). Once the engine got up to about 220 degrees the throttle blip started working. If that works another way to know its time to have some fun. Anybody experience this on their manual transmission m240i?

Just picked up an 18 240i Vert.

Temp gauge, what temp gauge?

Can you tell me where it is located?

You can show oil temperature in the display area of the instrument cluster by using the button on the end of the turn signal stalk.
