Cripple's Modifications Thread. MOAR PHOTOS
Gents,
This young lad has lost track of the amount of modifications I've rocked out. Instead of posting a new thread for some of the modifications I've done for educational purposes I will resort to creating one thread and dedicating my "mods" to the one and only. I'll make this book like, starting from the past to the present and possibly the future. Who knows, maybe I should just buy a M4. It started with a purchase of the beauty from dealer, full retail not a cent off. Getting one of the first batches in Canada. I wasn't certain on modifying her until after a few months of driving the car, finding out I want "More". Day 1 - Seal, Wax and protect interior! About thirty days later, I decided I needed the car to be different and it started with this... Buying from "getBMWparts.com" is the only place I'll order OEM parts from; even if they have a competitor $5-$10 lower, I'll stick to these guys. The service is absolutely amazing, they are completely accurate and even helped me when I changed from E92 too this M235I by taking back the previous ordered parts with no charge. I got rid of the hexagon aluminum trim and installed the dry carbon interior. Which I really like, but may do a gloss carbon later. The carbon has an amazing texture and the alacantra on the two vents (pass and driver side) is extremely high quality. Than sprayed the fins black and painted the rest matched [/img]http://i.imgur.com/iAEKG2sl.jpg[/img] As you can see the diffuser sat funny without the MPE exhaust installed. So, had to wait until the next day to get the exhaust on! Unfortunately I do not have install pictures of my MPE - but you will see in later photos how it makes a difference. Afterwards at some point I couldn't stand the silver mirror caps on the vehicle and ordered a set of OEM carbon mirror caps. The install was a bit of a whore, but I did it! I needed some power gains, so I ended up buying a ER Downpipe and JB4 Stage 2! 325WHP was not cutting it, so these definitely made a drastic impact on how the vehicle felt. I can say that these two modification had to have made the biggest impact in the vehicle it's self. The downshifts sound absolutely intoxicating and the difference in throttle response was huge. I haven't put this on the dyno yet but I can say via "butt dyno" it's within 400 WHP range, without question. Afterwards I had decided it was time to get a set of wheels. After working closely with two different wheel companies, they wanted to swing me in different directions. This wheel I went with was a BC Forged in the HB29 style. Which is a two piece forged aluminum wheel and is priced extremely competitively! Although, I don't hold onto wheels to long I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and enjoy looking at this wheels each day! Brents M235I by davidcouture48, on Flickr 6. Brents M235I by davidcouture48, on Flickr I was getting annoyed with the reflectors in the front and back and as well I wasn't 100% happy with the paint patch on the diffuser so I had it redone while doing the reflectors. On order currently I have the OEM Carbon rear spoiler and a special carbon fiber front lip from the guys at Tuningwerkz in Germany! to be continued...

Looks nice but you need carbon fiber license plate holders. Those dealer ones just won't do.

My dealer is fine with modifications as long as they are not the "failure".

I cannot unfortunately due to the forum rules.. What I can do however is tell you that I am going to be registering an advertising account to host a group buy as the company has given me the rights to sell in North America.

Both carbon pieces fit like a glove. The front lip requires the bolts to be longer so we've gone and will be attaching new bolts for all new orders.
I can tell you, that this is not your basic overlay-ed carbon pieces. These are made completely from CF to be able to pass TUV. They have to be able to withstand impact which both these pieces can do. Each piece is hand made in Germany by an excellent team from TuningWerk that have engineered this lip with functionality involved. You can see the open air ducts in the lip that are accounted for additional cooling and aerodynamics. It's great knowing that I can kiss a curb and my lip will not be in shambles.
