My dealer is giving me 2 tickets to the CIAS to see the M235i, so I'm pretty confident the 2er will be there.

Spoke w rep at BMW Canada and yes M235i is slated to make an appearance at the Toronto International Auto Show... I just hope no one sees me when I hotwire it and drive off LOL.

I doubt they'll do that.
It's not a concept or pre-production car and they'll officially be on available in 2 weeks.

it's why I make the trek down to NAIAS every year since 1999. worth the drive…not to mention chowing down at the Pancake House beforehand.

I was there today and they have a M235i in Estoril Blue.I really like the look of the car in person,even from the back.I also liked the seating position and the feeling in the interior.It felt a little smaller inside than my E46 M3 but it still has plenty of room.

It says the pics are to large on my iPhone and it won't upload them.I will have to try to make them smaller.

They also have the M3 in YMB and M4 in AY.

I am very excited for the M2.

The M3 and M4 were both open,anyone could go in them.You had to get a BMW salesman from one of the dealers to open the M235i for you.I just had a chat with one of them and he opened it up for me but as soon as i got out he locked it up again.Just talk to them like you are really interested in the car.

Which cars were open, Nantucket ? I am on the fence if I should even attend if they threat enthusiasts like cattle. Was each of those open ? Mini Cooper S, S3, GTI, Golf R, WRX, CLA ?

I just went to see the BMW's and then I left.As I said above the M3 and M4 were open and they will let you into the M235i.I didn't have time to stick around there all afternoon.You can even turn the lights on the M3 and M4 and open up the hood and trunk.The M4 had the LED headlights.They also both had the carbon fiber roof.I have a bunch of pictures but I can't seem to downsize them to get them to upload from my iPad.I will have to try again tomorrow.

Their excuse for locking the M235i - and get this - was that the leather has a tear - ya right - just pester a salesman and they'll let u sit in it. I guess they are trying to stir up interest by denying us easy access - dumb idea IMHO.

new 235i feels good inside.. Materials are about on par with the f30.

noticeably narrower inside than a 3 series but still more than adequate for front passengers.. the rear seats are serviceable now too. I could live with the new F20 135i if it was in Canada. 5 year old Kid could fit.

entry and egress is no issue...unlike the new A3 which seemed harder for front and rear doors.

the new 2 really works as a DD for a couple and the rear seat isn't a deal breaker.

M235i shouldn't be locked - in fact all BMW should be unlocked this year at the Toronto show except the Active Tourer and i8. The M235i seemed to have a problem with popping the hood when I was there - something with the latch seemed messed up

I'm well aware of that ...on the second pull it doesn't sound/feel like any latch releases. Apparently there is no engine in the M235i at the autoshow and thus they have disabled the hood from opening..
