M235i price range

BIMMERPOST

The newly released Audi S3 is supposed to start around 39K according to Autoblog.
http://www.autoblog.com/2013/03/26/a...new-york-2013/

Now the question is: How much would BMW ask for an M235i? I hope it wouldn't be much more that 42K, otherwise it would be too close to the CLA45 price wise.

The 135i starts at 39,300 in the US.

If the M235i is replacing it, I suggest that BMW keeps the price the same or extremely close- only increasing it if standard equipment is going to be added, ie Navi, Xenons, DCT, etc.

especially since there will not be a 235i model :\. But I can see them increasing the price since it is an "M"

I say $45k with leather and premium sound would work for me.

I think that BMW definitely needs to keep it low 40s. I will go to the CLA45 at the drop of a hat with its power and looks. That CLA really has me excited so lets hope that BMW recreates or carries on the excitement from the 1 series.

S3 seems nice, but nothing pushes me toward it, besides price. Its kind of plain and the same power as my 335i.

i think M235i might be starting around 41k-43k since it's going to replace the current 135is model(true?) even though it won't be equipped with a DCT. if it can be decently equipped at 49k then it's a good deal.

I agree. I've always been a BMW fan, but I cannot wait to test drive the CLA45 when my lease is up. It's still a bit more than I would like to spend but I would probably do it.

i'm not a big fan of any benz's interior design. don't get me wrong their material and quality are top notch but i just cant stand the 9-key numpad they put in EVERY single model of their cars....to me it seems like a big cluster of crap.

i'm sure CLA45 will drive great, especially with that 2.0 4cylinder that's gonna be the benchmark of all turbo 4s. it's a transverse engine setup thou, not sure how they are gonna defeat the understeer
