What's faster?

2014 M235i 6 spd, or 2014 435i auto? Any thoughts? Me and my buddies mom are getting into it over this. She drives the 4, I drive the 2. I think it will be close. Both cars stock.

Does the 435 have the mppk? If not you should beat it pretty easily because the m235i stock puts out about 310whp. It also depends on how well you drive the 6spd.

If she does have the mppk it might be closer because then the power is about the same and she has the auto. But then again your car is also lighter so it still would be close.

I think it'd be a closer race between the 228i and 435i

Your ability to drive the car and perhaps the tire condition would be the deciding factor, more than likely it would be a very close race but you should have the edge.

The 435i has a bit more weight, and a bit less power - but the auto will be faster and consistent in putting power down.

The 2 is a bit lighter and faster, but if you don't get a good launch and shifts that's easily enough to eat up the few 10th's of a second that would separate the cars on equal footing.

I would chalk this one up purely to drivers and tires. The person who can get the power down will win. Warm the tires up and try to lower the pressure to improve your contact patch.
