How to check for boost leak location?

I'm pretty sure I have a boost leak somewhere on my car, and wanted to see if anyone had an idea of how to check where specifically the leak might be occurring. I'm gonna do some logs tonight to verify it exists, then hopefully start some tests to see where the leak is occurring.

My charge pipe is made of aluminum, so I definitely would have heard if it cracked. My thought is that it must be a loose clamp or band.

From my understanding it's kinda a pia to find. N54 tech has a sticky on it I believe.

I think the most fool proof way is to make a fitment out of PVC and pressure the system with a vacuum and some sort of smoke and look for it. That or use soapy water, spray it on and look for bubbles.

I would first look at the logs and see if PWM is high/max. If so then start tightening the easy to reach hose clamps etc. Careful not to over tighten.

Then log again. If it still shows a leak then do the pressure test the others mentioned.

Do you know if OBDII can read out PWM? I don't have a JB4 but can run data logs off of OBDII. Can't seem to find the parameter within the Dash Command app that I have though...could it be under a different name?

Hey OP, did you ever figure out your boost leak? And which app did you end up using to detect PWM?
