Looks like a quality piece, but looking at my jb4 logs it appears to perform no better (I'm inclined to say worse) than my VRSF intercooler that I assume is cheaper.

I'm not trying to poop on this product. Always good to have more options out there.

Are you saying temps with your VRSF intercooler are higher than stock FMIC ?

No. Compared to the active auto FMIC my VRSF has basically the same temp data.

It depends if you are comparing the same heat soak and same ambient temps.

AA is based out of Florida, where humidity and heat are strong factors. There data will never look as good as most other areas.

Always compare apples to apples when looking at intercooler data. It's only as good as the vehicle it's installed on and can't be compared to some other vehicle, especially in a different state, climate, elevation, octane, ETC

Agreed it's not a direct comparison. Even the data above comparing the AA IC and the stock IC is not apples to apples.

But, I took a 4th gear gear log yesterday with ~90* ambient and IAT starting at the same temp as the AA IC data above. End result was the same with my VRSF as the AA IC. Humidity was in the 70% range.

I'm probably at a higher elevation than a log in Florida lol.

I'm looking to go to a "Race/competition" intercooler when I go PS2. That's the only reason why I'm looking at these details.

But we don't even know if the boost curve is the same. Also the heat soak before the pull is a factor as well. So many conditions that can skew data.

If I sit my car at a light and heat soak it then jump on the highway to do a pull, my results will be skewed. It usually takes a decent amount of time for the IAT to come to near ambient after a long heat soak before you could get a controlled data.

Controlled data is hard to find with intercoolers.

Let's not forget, the VRSF intercooler is good upgrade over stock so it should be close results.
