Well i fitted box only took 15 min and have taken car for around 50 miles, defiantly felt more snappy and lively instant pick up...not that it was slow before..and no issues with feel of drive, run smooth trough the auto box.. no codes etc. So far so good. Ill take car up a level by weekend and by next week get the RR done to see on paper what difference its made.

I've had it on for about 1/2 year now. I didn't feel an instant difference when 1st installing but 90% of my driving is in traffic (15 miles each way). I really felt it kick in about 2 days later to be honest.

I didn't take it up a notch until 2 weeks down the line then a week after that I was at D, then a week after that E. The car chugged a bit shifting from 1st to 2nd when I'm very light on the gas (think practically idle for navigating busy parking lots). That might be the torque pulling in 1st as I ease off of it on and off but I am still getting a bit of it now. Other than that it has been pretty good.

I have had the RC in my car for over a year now I think, and only had issues when going to D in the California summer. Only having 91 octane gas seems like the culprit. went back to C with no issues for the past 6 months.

ok cool, well im booked in for rolling road tomorrow to see what output is and if any decent gains, so ill let you know. Car now set at E for rolling road....is it faster well....hard to be sure how much power to be honest, but today it saw off an E46 m3 (340bhp) very easily both from same speed, and i just pulled past him, he gave me a smile and wave after, maybe in shock.

Ok so at last....rolling road result. im only amazed so many people just talk about results or say no results online yet None get a RR test. I looked all over for real results when deciding which piggyback to get, so i hope my results help others see results and decide what to get. I wanted a cheap boost I wont be doing any other mods. So my car is standard it has a RaceChip pro on it now set to level E which i have done 30 miles on before the rolling road. I was hoping to get around 260bhp minimum. The box only cost me £200 delivered and im getting another 50BHP, it has run smooth all week and im on level E others go to F. so on F i would say you would be running around 380bhp. I have a chart showing at wheel bhp this was at 312bhp

I used these guys before with my Evo 7 13 years ago. They call this RR "The Heartbreaker" as it tends to give real readings rather than fake high readings

Hey I'm a believer i had it for 2yrs on a fully stock car, I was beating Dinan Stage1 cars even while on stock setting w/ RC and I raced a 528 with JB4 once too and he lost pretty bad.

It takes some miles to adjust and it gets better the more you drive in the setting. Proper fueling also is needed and the new box are even better now.

I can't wait to get a Diesel car cuz I will be slapping one on as well, since they're really popular in diesel too.

As long as you run 93 octane (you can increase setting)
I've went on N20 from C setting all the way to 4 (testing on dyno)

Now when you go again run your current most adapted setting (1-2 runs) then increase to your next setting you want.. At your last run (put the dongle) to run stock mode to see your delta (difference in gains).

That's essentially 93 octane here in the States.

I do have to chuckle at this a bit. The Dynojets commonly used here in the States do not spit out "fake high readings". The way a Dynojet calculates it's numbers is different than the Dyno Dynamics (Mustang-type) dyno you used. That's it. There's nothing fake about it. Dyno Dynamics dynos will typically show around 10% lower numbers than a Dynojet. That means your car would likely make around 340whp not bad considering stock M235s typically make 305-310whp on the Dynojet and those numbers are spot on for a Stage 1 tune.

Mustang dynos are ideal for tuning because you can adjust the load; greatly helping a tuner compensate the tune for all sorts of load situations. One must remember though, the dyno is just a tuning tool and that's why you do before and after runs on the same machine.

Lastly, it's kind of funny you call the Dynojet numbers fake but the shop gave you estimated flywheel numbers. Why European shops do this is beyond me. LOL

by fake i mean over inflated. ..dont take it to heart lol...im not referring to just american dynos im on about any in uk or over there. And of course we all know its common sense they have to give a rough estimate of a flywheel figure as engine is in the car and not on a bench...not rocket science. but its reasonably accurate and does for a simple little tune.

this guy was getting real low standard whp 278. shows how much they vary.

but yes i will dyno again when i have longer ..both stock and with map just to see benchmark...

i remember these posts as well another member was getting 295whp and was told by tuner thats highest figure he had seen on an N55, not seen many stock ones putting out 307whp.
but yes i will dyno again when i have longer as i was on my lunch and guy fitted me in as favour ..ill get both stock and with map just to see benchmark...and exact increase which is more ideal of course...will post when i do.

Ideal mounting location?

I've read through the entire thread and have seen limited pics for the F22 on where to mount outside of where AlexGT mounted his. I followed Delnari's suggestion below in terms of general location, but haven't found a way to secure the Racechip. Currently, it's just tucked away down there (see pic). Any thoughts on this location or others that are more ideal?

I'm wondering where some of the people who have installed recently chose to mount. Would be great to see other pics! Thanks!

Ended up securing it down with fasteners as shown in the pic below. I took the pic before I cut the fasteners down.

I put mine there where yours is under the plastic cover but attached with clips upside down to the grid so its on the plastic rather than hard metalwork of car. If that makes sense. Ill try take pic.
