You might be mistaking me for someone else, I have a different username there sc67065

I'm not having any timing issues in my recent log, but rather HPFP not being able to keep up.

Haven't been focused on my cars the past few weeks but I'll be in touch with Alex soon

Actually the logs you posted here and the logs sc67065 posted on n54 both have the same VIN listed on the logs.

But that's not your car?
That is my username as per my other post.

Wow I can't read sorry.

Did you get your boost and timing smoothed out? Or is MP saying it's fine?

I'm deciding whether to go with this flash or hold off until more users are running it.

I haven't reached out to him yet, car still feels great though. Ignorance is bliss lol
When I was running just the jb4, I would consistently be in limp mode when doing pulls at this torque level.

I'll have to see what he thinks.

I feel like both of you guys should have pulled the trigger right now. You guys have been reading up on flash cars like mine and others for months now and still haven't flashed your cars lol
You guys have read enough to make an informative decision on whether or not to flash by now.

Interesting on the comments they're saying there
I think it was bad gas? Went to a weird gas station.

Haven't had the same issue since using 76 again

I've put in bad gas once from a Mobile station and I never use Mobile. Sure enough stutters and weird behaviors so I suspected bad gas. I put in turbo 108 fuel additive and bam! Bad gas problem solved. I know putting in constant MMT is no good for the plugs, but if there was water in the tank or the octane rating was false the fuel additive fixed it.

That would have to be some seriously bad gas.

I would like to see more cars running it and more logs. So far I've only seen logs from ocN55.

MP is new to me and I'm not going to jump into a tune with them. I've had lots of tunes on my previous cars and the right tuner makes all the difference.

Would be nice if MP posted here.

As someone who also came from Japanese turbo cars, I have to say the story is different on these cars. BMWs are no wear near as naggy as boosted Japanese cars; subarus, evos, GTRs, turbo civics, you name it. I've yet to see a horrendously tuned modern BMW, which says something about how well these cars respond to flashes. These DMEs are quite robust and extremely intelligent.

You can keep reading logs and dyno graphs, but you will never truly know until you try. Gotta pay to play right?
Since you're in SoCal, we can set something up and get your behind the wheel of my car

Also I wouldn't count on seeing more logs of flashed cars anytime soon. I don't know of anyone else with the same setup who is keeping me JB4 as a logging tool.

I'm tempted to keep the jb4 on for a few logs after the tune but most likely will remove it when installign the ecu. At the very least I will remove the flex fuel lines which are a bit of a pain to reach otherwise but most likely jb4 is out and being listed in the classifieds

I say keep it.

If I go with a flash I'll still keep my JB4 for logging and other features that it has. Also I run e35 99% of the time so I will use JB4 for map 6 boost tables on top of the 91 pump flash.

Run map 4 on jb4 when I have 91 pump in the car.

Not to mention jb4 stack is good if you upgrade your turbo.

Keep the jb4 and re-evaluating your revisions i'd say.

Thanks Anthony235 and you for all the work and update here.

You def should keep it regardless of what tune you go with, since you have already invested in the jb4 keep it as a logging tool.
I have a friend that is going to test his full flash with jb4 on map4, he will dyno before/after, drag as well and then go back to his tuner for backend flash to use with his jb4 (stacked) and repeat Dyno and drag for his testing purpose.
No problem. I'm just wary of new tuners from previous experiences. MP is at the top of my list because they are local and offer OBDII flashes. I like the AFR and timing adjustments they can make too. Which JB4 can't.

Wish MP would post updates here about the revisions and updates to their flash. Would also like to see more dyno and log data. I think ocN55 has gone through multiple revisions now.

But you can also do it that way!
Yeah, but what happens when I'm stranded on a desert island with only 91 pump gas?

I don't think a flash that is specifically based on e35 will be good or safe with 91.

I have a feeling the flash is based on 91 which means you can run e85 no problem, but you're not taking advantage of the ethanol to it's fullest.

Alex is still doing almost everything himself. He has made quite a reputation for himself over with the F10 M5 guys and will be flying out to Bahrain more, much bigger market than our cars anyways. So his attention for us unfortunately is going to be a bit less for now. I'm starting to think he is doing me a personal favor

If you're serious about flashing your car though, just come out and see us at our next dyno day so you can see what its all about.

That does make sense. I was thinking the same thing. Our market is relatively small. Especially for the price point of a full flash vs a piggy back.

I tried to join one of your dyno days before. He never replied back to me with the details.

Please post the next time you have a dyno day. I would be willing to flash on the spot if I'm convinced

My car is in with Alex and Kareem for body work, new lip and some custom painting of the side signals and door handles. The have a shop called Mission Collision and a lot full with BMW's. During this time Alex is modding my turbo inlet to house the maf and then we're going to the Dyno with an M5. I'll post back here with the exact date if you want to join. It's the final tune to my stage 2. Should be about another 7 days from now.

Question for MP.

What if all I want flashed is:

AFR correction so AFR target is 12:1
Top speed limiter removed
Catless downpipe coded
Cold start removed

Is this possible? If so, how much? (with and without M boot option)

I will just use JB4 for boost control.
